weeks had passed between him and yuna. jayce had given her space after many failed attempts. they talked about how they felt, but yuna did not trust him and that wasnβt changing. jayce hadnβt given up, but he finally accepted things were different. coexisting had gotten easier, especially since he finally stop trying to get back together. he focused on himself, dedicating more time on getting better. he wasnβt avoiding her, he just realized there wasnβt much hope right now. but maybe one day.
still, jayce is a man of his word so when he tucked his ticket away for her recital, he knew he wouldnβt miss it for anything. he wasnβt entirely sure if yuna would want him there, but he owed it to her as part of a promise. not to mention, he still cared even though things had changed. jayce spent much time getting ready. picking up his most expensive suit from the cleaners, shaving, making sure his hair wasnβt a mess. if there were any time for yuna to notice him, it was now.Β Β
when he arrived, she looked perfect as always as he watched her move with such grace. yuna always worked so hard and now all of it was paying off. he was not the only person in awe, the rest of the audience felt the same way about her. he watched carefully, making sure not to skip a beat. and when the show was over, he waited along the wall, not wanting to draw too much attention to himself. a dozen roses were held in his hands as he waited to see yuna.
