My contribution to Zelda’s 40th Anniversary, based on concept art for the original game. Link always looked so lonely in that art, so I thought it would be nice to give him some company! There’s at least one reference to every single Nintendo of Japan produced Zelda game, including spin-offs. Naturally, this doesn’t extend to non Nintendo of Japan games like the CD-i entries or the Nelsonic game watch (not to be confused with the Game&Watch). The third image is all of the references explicitly pointed out and named!
