When you first started dating Tom this guy was the biggest gentleman EVER

He’ll sleep in either boxers and a t-shirt or flannel pyjama bottoms and a t-shirt and you can’t deny he can even rock this look for some bizarre reason. Tom doesn’t want to sleep naked around you in case you’re not comfortable with it 

When you’re living separately he gets SO excited when you come over that he always changes his bedding and makes sure his room is perfect for you, he even puts some of his clothes out for you to sleep in and will leave his fave book out for you in case you can’t sleep

Like seriously this man goes completely out of his way to make you comfortable 

If you fall asleep whilst watching movies on the couch, he will pick you up and carry you to bed, placing a kiss on your forehead 

When you go to sleep Tom loves spooning, and he will hold onto you so tightly all night (sometimes this will wake you up from his sheer body heat and you have to politely peel him off of you)

Tom also loves the fact that you always sleep in one of his shirts, and unbeknownst to you, he’s found the stash you keep at your house and regularly replaces them to make sure that they always smell like him for you (you’re starting to believe he has magic aftershave)

As the pair of you get more comfortable with each other Tom will start to sleep shirtless

He also relaxes on the cuddling, but he can’t sleep unless he’s holding you, and even if one of you moves away in the night you’ll still be touching somehow (even if it’s just your feet or hands) and he loves to wake up and slide his arms around you, pulling you close to him and drifting off for one more hour 

Of course, naked sleeping happens in tow, usually when the pair of you are sweating and collapsed in a post-orgasm daze 

Or in the heatwaves of summer, when it’s too hot to move and you both just lie naked under the fan in his room. This is the only time the pair of you have no contact at all in bed because both of you can barely handle your own heat without someone else’s too

Tom LOVES winter, he loves that it’s an excuse to cuddle 24/7, he loves making you hot chocolate before bed, he loves pulling the blankets over you when you watch movies, he especially loves when you get a little shivery in the dead of night and he can help by holding you close and letting you steal his body heat 

He’s 110% the kind of goofball who insists on matching fluffy Christmas pyjamas, which will most definitely become the uniform for the season when you’re both at home

When he has to go away from filming he knows how much you’ll miss him and makes a special effort to leave you with a good supply of his clothes and strategically places some of his things that he knows you love around to keep you happy until he comes home

When he does finally come back he’s usually exhausted from filming and you have a special ritual for his first night. He’ll head straight to the shower and you’ll make his favourite meal (Tom is always hungry, but after months of on-set catering food, he’s practically starved for a home-cooked meal). You’ll eat in pyjamas and the second he’s finished you can see his head dropping as he struggles to stay awake and you’ll lead him to bed, where he pretty much passes out after mumbling how much he loves you 

His usual bedtime routine is a little more controlled, Tom likes to look after himself and as filming is so chaotic he likes to have a steady routine when he’s home 

He always likes to shower for bed (this may or may not have been reinforced by you adoring the smell of his shower gel), if he’s training for an action movie he’ll work out before that, either at the gym or at home. Sometimes you join in but most of the time you’ll pretend to read or watch TV whilst sneaking glances at his sweating form 

Once showered (often with you joining him) he likes to clean his teeth with you at his side before actually getting into bed (you definitely don’t ogle at him only wearing a towel around his hips), where he likes to spend an hour reading his book or the morning’s paper if he didn’t have time earlier. Often you’ll read with him but sometimes you’ll try and distract him, which he secretly adores 

Again due to his odd work schedule, Tom often wakes up before you

He likes to look at your sleeping form for a moment, the way the sunlight softens your features in the morning makes him melt and he can’t help the swell of love he feels for you

He’ll reach out for you and even in your sleeping state you snuggle closer to him and he lets himself hold you for another hour. With his life constantly in the limelight, the private and peaceful moments he gets to himself are few and far between, and this time is sacred to him

When he feels you stir he definitely leans closer and will bring you around by placing soft kisses along your neck because he wants you to know how loved you are every moment of every day 

He’s especially affectionate when he’s back from filming and especially on the longer sets when he’s feeling a little touch-starved 

He always lets you control what happens in the mornings because he never wants to pressure you, but let’s be honest he loves a touch of lazy morning sex because again he gets to show you just how much he loves you and you both start the day feeling quite wonderful 

If he wakes up really early or needs to go out he likes to sneak out and make you breakfast to spoil you rotten

You want to return the favour but it’s rare that Tom sleeps in so you make a special effort to set alarms on special occasions like his birthday so that you can treat him to breakfast in bed, he always acts surprised even though he heard your alarm and has been pretending to sleep whilst listening to you rattling around in the kitchen

As discussed before Tom takes movie night very seriously, and sometimes this means he’s over-ambitious about a marathon and ends up crashing on the sofa. You love the way he’s so tall that his legs dangle off the end as he tries to squish himself in, and he always wakes up stiff and sore so you try to get him up and guide him into bed 

Let’s be honest at 6’2 Tom is not a little guy and yes he has a kingsize bed. Its probably a four poster or something else ornate and beautiful

He worships his bedroom as one of the rare peaceful spaces he has so it’s curated to be perfect, and of course, he values a good night’s sleep more than anything so his bed is a bit of a luxury item to him 

It might also be the reason that it’s always you going around to his, and eventually you moving in with him. You have never had a better night’s sleep than on Tom’s bed, he has the most comfortable mattress and super cosy sheets, honestly, you could spend a lifetime in Tom’s bed and be perfectly content there  

In fact, on some very lazy Sundays, you and Tom pass virtually the entire day in bed between cuddling, snoozing, talking about everything and nothing, a few rounds of naughty cuddling (I’m not even sorry. All sex shall be referred to as naughty cuddling from now on) and him reading to you 

OMG FORGOT TO MENTION

Obviously you’re obsessed with Tom’s voice, how can you not be with that to-die-for accent? He knows you are 

Often when he’s reading you beg him to read aloud and he will (because this man will do literally anything to make you happy), he sounds like an audiobook sat next to you speaking each line perfectly and making the stories come to life around you and sometimes you can’t help but interrupt him with kisses which make him let out his little giggle before telling you to “Sush, darling” and he carries on 

Honestly, just bedtime with Tom is the greatest thing ever and you never feel as complete as you do in his arms

I really hope that this was okay enough and long enough to make up for the time it took to get round to doing it :/ 

Actually forgot how much I love writing Tom too, actors/real people are surprisingly more difficult to write than their characters but I still love him so much ughhh

1991 - Part 2

Tony had taken you up to his room at about two AM, letting the party run its course as people fell asleep or left.  He had plans for the following day.  He knew the cleaners and security would be through to chase out stragglers first thing.  He would sleep in with you and let them do their thing.  The two of you could wake up when you felt like it.  Have some lazy morning sex.  Shower and go down and have brunch on the patio.  Rhodey would be arriving in the afternoon and then the three of you could hang out by the pool and grab dinner out at some seafood place.

He had been so excited when you’d shown up.  Not that he thought he was ready for the big plunge into commitment with another person.  He was on his third Ph.D.  He was enjoying partying.  According to his father a little too much.  In lots of ways he felt older than the person he was three years ago, but in most ways, he felt the same.

You break my heart, Kate!!! Why does Tony have to suffer so? Such a poor dear!!!! At least we’re here to make it a little better for a little while!!!!

What I mean by this is that I, of course, absolutely loved this newest chapter and am super excited for next week!!!!!
