i don’t honestly think that opposites attract in every way. As an anxious being, how do I get to work with a nonchalant person that I call my closest friend? He’s the only one who I rely on. I’ve grown dependent on him but sometimes, I just don’t understand why he doesn’t seem to care or make effort— especially in the aspect of being mu emotional support. I needed encouragement, words of affirmation, but I guess those are his weaknesses (he said it himself, actually).

I am convinced that human life is filled with many pure, happy, serene examples of insincerity, truly splendid of their kind-of people deceiving one another without (strangely enough) any wounds being inflicted, of people who seem unaware even that they are deceiving one another.
