Well, of course Andrés would have hyped him up. Wasn’t that just what older brothers did? Sergio felt a little awkward, but that was probably just social anxiety. It was hard to immediately trust this man and let him in on the heist, but he had no other choice. Andrés had planned this with him; leaving him out wasn’t an option.

“I, uh… I hope I live up to your expectations.” Sergio gave him an awkward smile, followed by a short chuckle. “Martín, ¿sí?”

In all honesty, Martín had been anxious about meeting Andrés’ younger brother. The man had praised Sergio with an admiration that only Andrés ever could; seeing the talent and beauty of his brother’s mind that a small part of Martín had been jealous. Because he had thought the only genius that Andrés saw had been him, but now he had competition (albeit; familial competition) had made him just a tad stand-offish. 

Andy just flicks a grin over one shoulder, knowing that Nicky will be rolling his eyes at her thanks to instincts honed over almost a thousand years. “If I get cavities, I will go to a dentist,” she tells her little brother, “Nile says they’re nothing like the dentists we saw in the sixties.” Which sixties was another conversation entirely, because there had been so many of them over six millennia. “—So there is absolutely no need to limit my baklava intake, but thank you for your concern for my health.”
