Pretty proud of this piece - it’s of a hornbill like species in my workbuilding project

Elphas salarborcare, or the salt elephant, has eked out an interesting niche within the mangrove forests it calls home. This large species of proboscidian is a xylophage, or wood eater. It’s developed a unique dentition, somewhat similar to modern day beavers, and it uses those unique tusks and bulk to tear down trees to feed. As large herds do this, they create swathes of open water within the forests, which causes proboscis monkey troops to follow them in order to collect the many fruits and leaves that are left behind after the salt elephant’s feasts

Chicken!!

This species is the second largest volant animal native to Chu’Lel. Many Beastkeepers (Tetl scientists) believe these creatures and their relatives are the reason dragons went extinct on the continent. Powerful, beautiful, and rare, a Greater Griffon spotting is one to treasure indeed
