Henry: Went on a rant about vegetarianism and veganism, along with the differences and how 'no, it's pescetarian, not vegan but with fish'

I genuinely cannot understand how one person can be so loving and caring without expecting anything but love in return. No catches, no strings, nothing like what I'm used to due to a few bad choices in relationships. I feel bad for falling asleep? They ask if I slept well, say it's okay. I don't reply quick enough? They don't care, they just love that I texted back. Going out of the country and therefore will have a different timezone? They say that it won't stop them from loving me and ask for the timezone so they can know my time.

They comfort, they listen, even when I know they have worse problems than me being overstimulated over my hair and my family talking too loud, they tell me to breathe, and I don't know if they know, but I have a bad habit of holding my breath whenever I'm on the verge of tears or am already crying. It's the little things. We communicate, barely argue— and when we do? It's about stupid things like whether it's Atlantic Ocean or Atlantic Pond.

It's been almost a year now with this amazing human being, and I fully expected us to be well out of the 'honey moon' mindset at this point. All lovey, sappy, saying 'I love you' every chance we get. But we aren't. And it doesn't feel forced. It's natural. I can go out without worrying about them thinking they're being neglected, and knowing all they'll ask for is pictures so that "it feels like I'm with you" since we barely have freetime to call or something due to work or other things.

I genuinely feel so loved and cherished because of them. Their goodnight messages, their questions about my day, their little 'hey, this made me think of you's making me smile like an idiot and then making me giggle about it when I think back to those moments.

There's so many things that should have broken us up, in my opinion (most of them are my traits or mistakes). But they don't care. They just love loving me.

I doubt this will naturally get on their feed, since they follow me but I don't know how many of my posts they actually look at, but still.
