Collect colors you love here. Since I enjoy pastels, I figured watercolours was the best way to share mauve, pink, and pale yellow. The only painting in my #artjournal that I’ve titled so far, but since pattern from the resist is from a real the rubbing from the Kotel, I felt it was appropriate to mark it as such. Two in one: Float this page and Find a way to freeze this page. To make these, I decorated both with markers that I had *hoped* would last through a soaking, and put them in a water balloon. Put the balloon in the freezer overnight, and then slowly melted it by floating the pages & ice in water. Let the colours run. Thanks to a little art inspiration from a local group, I completed this page yesterday. It’s salt painting - I put glue on the pages, then put some salt on the glue. Then, I dipped a paintbrush with watercolours onto the salt lines. Mix so many colours they turn to mud. I had fun doing these pages after a paint nite, and just mixed up most of the excess acrylic paint off of my palette at the end of that project.
