          whilst  the  academy  was  a  nice  change  of  pace  from  being  on  house  arrest,  this  was  different.     being  in  paris  was  more  freeing  for  obvious  reasons.     he  wasn’t  exactly  sure  how  he’d  gotten  here,  but  as  the  days  passed,  it  didn’t  seem  so  bad  anymore.     it  helped  that  he  didn’t  really  have  any  friends  and  he  did  miss  his  aunties  and  luke,  but  having  sabrina  here  helped.     as  he  made  his  way  around  the  shining  city,  he  almost  forgot  what  a  completely  decorated  city  looked  like  at  this  point.     a  few  decorations  around  the  house  wasn’t  the  same.     gaze  moving  from  the  lights  towards  the  ice  rink,  he  couldn’t  help  but  chuckle  lightly,  speaking  up  to  the  girl  who  was  besides  him,  deciding  to  branch  out  a  bit  and  make  some  friends.     ‘  can’t  remember  the  last  time  i  went  skating,  think  it’s  really  something  you  never  forget?    ’

“there has to be! i know it’s strange being here and i wish i knew how we got here, but i think it’s worth sight seeing,” he nodded. “paris is.. very different than where i’m from,” he nodded. “i’m.. looking forward to the adventure. and it’s so festive!”

          there  was  something  different  about  her,  but  he  couldn’t  quite  put  his  finger  on  what  it  was.     besides,  jughead  really  didn’t  give  much  thought  since  he  was  just  relieved  to  see  another  familiar  face  at  this  point;  he  just  instantly  thought  it  was  her,  not  really  putting  any  second  thought  into  it  or  anything.     ‘  veronica?  ’  he  asked,  making  his  way  up  towards  the  girl  in  the  midst  of  crowded  streets,  a  small,  but  friendly  smile  appearing  across  pale  lips.     he  might  not  have  known  her  for  as  long  as  he’d  known  archie  or  betty,  but  it  was  safe  to  assume  she  was  one  of  his  best  friends  at  this  point.     ‘  when’d  you  get  here?  ’

“How do you feel about ice skating? I want to try but I don’t want to go alone.” It might have been weird to ask a stranger such thing but none of her friends were around and it didn’t hurt to make new ones.

“paris.” the brunette began as her back leans against the wall behind her. “it’s supposed to be this grand romantic place right? yet all i feel is a larger, maybe slightly brighter, setting of the isle. i basically got an upgrade to the prison i already lived in. why can i not get to some place that actually allows me to sail the seas?”

“I have.. always wanted to see Paris. The river. Moulin Rouge. Maybe it can be a welcome change.” Kevin sighed. He wasn’t talking to anyone in particular, but after everything that had been going on, winding up in Paris of all places wasn’t seeming so bad to him.
