In response Elsa held up her own phone, lips twisting in a wry smile.
“ Sorry to say, no. This object baffles me as much as it seems you. ”
Looking down, she examined the thing for a second, trying to find, for the tenth time that day, how to make the screen light up like she’s seen other phones do. It took not even a heartbeat for Elsa to give up in her search, head lifting to smile helplessly at the man.
“ You are also not of this time, I presume? ”
Hm...it was quite obvious that the maiden who stood in front of him was equally bewildered as to the inner workings of this magical phone as he himself was, yet the talk of 'not being from this time' caught his attentions more than anything else at the current moment. "So...when the maiden who brought us here spoke of transporting folk from different realms...not only were we transported to a different world, but you are saying we are in a different time, as well? That does make cohesive sense: it would greatly explain why there are so many strange ways of life I do not understand, even with my being from a different realm and all. ...Ah. My apologies, I rambled a bit there."
Pausing to tip his hat apologetically a bit, he then mused: "I do suppose you could say that I am from another time." ...How exactly would he describe having 'come from the future' once to help save his own realm, and then having come here? It would be ironic indeed if someone 'from a bad future' like himself was in a much further future now.
"There is a great deal of this place I do not understand, so given that evidence, I assume your elucidations of time-speak to be true. That aside, allow me to halt my self-theorizing for a moment and introduce myself. My name is Laurent. I am a mage. Might I know your title as well, madam...?"
