Majdy suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes while his wife Amira suffers from cancer, and together, they are taking care of multiple people without access to medical help for over 8 months now.

At the beginning of the war, Majdy and Amira lost their son, their daughter, her husband, her children, and the husband of their other daughter when their homes were bombed. They were forced to move from North Gaza, to Rafah and now to a tent in Deir Al Balah. Majdi and Amira support a family with more than 15 people, 7 of whom are children, 3 of whom are orphans. They have been living in an area not exceeding 3 meters for more than 8 months. Majdi, Amira and the rest are all sharing a tent together in Deir Al Balah. Their children are: Rizk (and his wife Marah), Ezzedine, Baraa, Saja, Maryam. The grandchildren are 7: Yahya, Abdelrahman, Lianne, Bayan, Siwar and Amira. Three of the grandkids are orphans.

The suffering of Majdy's family worsened after their house was completely destroyed in 2023--a second time after the 2014 war. They are left homeless and without any decent living conditions.

The family does not desire to leave Gaza. They just need support so they are able to buy their daily necessities for now to survive, and then hopefully rebuild when the time is right.
