-Ir Anuk and Ir Halak regularly bully Crota. These are all ancient dark gods, mind you. But like. The twins take time out of their day to be petty and write gothic iambic pentameter poetry about how their brother is a insensate meathead with not a shred of elegance in his entire body.
-One time Xivu Arath blew up an entire MOON, an entire fucking PLANETOID just to own Oryx, her brother. It worked and he died and then was like “HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAA GOOD PRANK BRO”.
-Savathûn experiments on her own court and one time she accidentally got a bunch of scared ascendants killed and THEN devoured messily by a supermassive black hole and was like “hmmmm. I see. So the parameters need adjustment, then.”
-Oryx actually used to be a really big softy. He tried to make peace with some of the early civilizations the Hive fought because he just didn’t have the heart to kill them. Savathûn, the elegant, prissy nerd, fucking Killed Him For It, showing her colors as lowkey the scariest of the three despite being the least directly imposing. She also chemically bombed that entire planet so that nothing would entire live on it ever again.
-Dûl Incaru canonically owns a fine tea-set. The Hive drink tea. It is implied, and perhaps stated outright, that Hive tea is dangerously poisonous to humans, and also a potent psychoactive. The Hive drink Peyote tea.
-The Hive and the Fallen CANONICALLY HAVE AN INFAMOUS HISTORY OF CALLING TRUCES to.... To fucking...,to. AHEM. To have romantic relations.
-This gets a lot funnier when you consider the fact that the Hive canonically caused the Fallen Whirlwind, aka, caused the Eliksni to have a fucking APOCALYPSE. The Darkness may have been there, watching, but Oryx’s brood are canonically the ones who got their hands dirty and tore apart the entire damn civilization.
Both species responded to this by taking a good, long look at the other and going “hmmmmm idk. They’re kinda. Hot..... What if.... We held.... Claws?”
-The Worm Gods are deeply petty, and don’t always necessarily work together, either, despite.... Being the same species. On the same side. In the same pantheon. With the same purpose. And the same ideology.
Yuul threatened to eat Xol one time, and it scared Xol so bad they decided to pick up their bags and move solar systems to go hang out with Oryx’s gay disowned son.
-Oryx got sick of HIS particular patron Worm God and decided to kill it and make it into his house.
....This. Shockingly..... Worked.
-Oryx told Crota to “come home glorious, or DIE FORGOTTEN” before tossing him through a Vex portal, but when his son actually DID get killed, permanently, he legged it to the Sol system in a fucking frantic fit of grief and got so fucking Pissed When Mara Sov and the Awoken tried to slow him down that he blew up his own fleet, just to swat her and the entire Awoken Navy like flies, basically self-sabotaging his own campaign and directly leading to his own death.
He also spents the entire Taken War berating and gnashing his teeth at the Crota’s Bane fireteam for killing his son. He gets pretty emotional about it.
We see through you, Nightmare-Daddy. You’re a softy for your idiot bonehead son.
-Oryx’s twin daughters can be heard almost perpetually giggling and snickering at you while you fight them in the Kingsfall raid. This is, perhaps, appropriate, considering the fact that they were the only adversaries to not die on their own thrones, and thus are likely the only bosses we faced who actually survived the whole debacle.
They’re probably still laughing at us, somewhere, deep in the Ascendant Plane, on bedrest.
