OOC: Starters

I haven’t forgotten about your starters, guys. That major project write up I’ve been telling you about? It’s due in two days at 5:00 PM central time, so I’m trying to get it done by then. Technically, it is done, but I keep wanting to revise it. I’ll be done with it tomorrow at two (I hope), and will probably take a few hours to just not write before logging in and getting a lot of writing done. Sorry for the long wait. :/

I’ll probably start writing starters later this week.

Terrible news

I had a few important meetings yesterday, and due to the progress on two aspects of our projects (implementation and writing), I will be on hiatus until the 29th of this month. This applies to ALL of my blogs. I will still take threads until the thirteenth, and I will be on once a day until that date (which is Monday)

Through the mirror came out too dolls. One in green and one in blue.

"Owie, desu. Hey wait a minute, desu, this isn’t the runts house, desu!" She gasped. "Souseiseki you got the wrong house again, desu!" She pouted and got up. "Where the hell are we now, desu?" She sighed.

Souseiseki had a blanked expression. “Sorry.” She adjusted her black hat. She looked around the room and saw Minori out of the corner of her eye. “Who is she?” She blinked and walked up to Minori. “Sorry for coming in un-announced.” She bowed. “Is this your home?”

Minori blinked. Was this real? She reached out to touch one of them simply having to know. If they felt real then they had to be real. It was so weird to imagine, though. These dolls had stepped out of a door. That was something that only happened in movies right.

Wait, if it was anything like a movie then that means they probably wanted to destroy all of humanity and have the world to their own. Withdrawing her hand, she took a few steps back.

They were so cute, though. They couldn't possibly be evil. She felt so conflicted. Should she pick them up and hug them or run away because of the potentiality of being evil?

Still walking by that man's house always gave her the chills. She hated it because there was nothing she needed to worry about anymore, but he was so, so, creepy? No. That wasn't right. He just felt so cold... She shivered anytime she thought about it.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to walk past, but she noticed a blond on the porch. Who was he? Maybe he knew something of this doctor person.

Slowly, she approached him trying to seem casual. "So..." she rocked back and forth on her heels standing next to him. Oh, yeah. Looking super inconspicuous right now. "Are you stuck here, or do you live here?" Simple enough question.

She didn't even get to finish her education. The whispers from her coworkers were obnoxious and overwhelming. She couldn't stand it, and she would tell off a few of her superiors from time to time expressing so. I didn't choose this, she would either grumble, yell, and very seldom, tear up. This wasn't completely her decision. If only she had kept her nose in her own business.

Due to her mistake, a single mistake, she was now washing mirrors in a hallway. A hallway that she was rather unfamiliar with, and she could see a closed room. Do not go in there, she was ordered. Why? Why couldn't she? What was so terrible about her going in there?

She was curious despite her curiosity being the very reason that she was stuck in this place, but what could a little peek hurt?

No, no. She shouldn't. She wouldn't, and that was her decision as she continued to wash the mirrors drawing nearer and nearer to that closed door. What was behind it? Only she could wonder.

This particular morning was a day when Ayame was working on drawings for some of the newest dresses for the shop. He locked himself in one of the back rooms, blasted 90’s pop music and sat drinking his tea while drawing. OF course, this had been strategic. Today he was supposedly getting a new maid as the last one requested a transfer… again.

Hopefully this one would be more open to his line of work. When he heard the knock on the door he stood up, almost knocking the chair over, and weaved his way through the two hallways.

As he entered, a grin was oread across his face, “Hello and welcome!” He walked up to the girl and put his hands on his hips, “Don’t be shy, come on in! Your are so cute, hopefully while you help me with my house work I can help you embrace the passion of youth and love!”

No one ever told her that her boss would be so handsome! How was she supposed to concentrate on her work if someone like him could be around at any moment? Well, yeah, he was a bit older, but he had looks. Just focus. She can't mess this up. Focus.

Wait, did he just call her cute? He was so sweet to her. Maybe, just maybe this wouldn't be such a terrible job. Well, her situation sucked, but this would make it bearable.

Passion of youth and love? That was a little strange, though. Oh, well. Just go with it. She nodded nervously to her own thought but stopped when she realized what she was doing.

"Was there somewhere specific you wanted me to start?" she asked. This was an important question. The only question she needed to ask before starting. If there was anywhere she wasn't permitted to venture into, she wouldn't, but only if he specifically mentioned it.

"I’m not to sure actually, someone told me to drop by to a location they told me about. Supposed to meet up with someone though I don’t think their going to be around" He was actually doing some magic tricks which caught the strangers eyes and asked him to meet him at this area. Though the jester couldn’t quite remember if this was the area or not.

"How long are you supposed to be waiting for them?" she asked nosily. She couldn't help it. It was in her nature. "I mean, this is like sort of a sketchy place to meet someone. It's like the streets are totally empty," she glanced around as if trying to prove her own point.

"Ah do forgive my daughter. She is still learning Japanese and she is struggling a bit since this is her third language she is learning." He pushed up his glasses again. "Well, let us just say that due to some horrid events, i suppose you can say i am stuck with them." He shrugged. "Might i ask how old are you miss? You seem rather young."

Claudia looked a bit confused. Once she was sort of able to understand what she was saying to her she have a small nod. “Mhm.” She said quietly.

"No, no, it's fine," Minori smiled continuously for the child. "She's so young. I don't expect her to learn more than her native language." The house servant herself only spoke Japanese. She tried learning a new language. A week of English, but it simply didn't stick with her. She was already having trouble keeping up with Japanese. So many freaking kanji that she had to learn. It was practically a nightmare, and to this day, it was still a pain for her to read a newspaper from time to time.

"Oh, no, that's fine. I'm 17," she nodded. Why would he apologize for asking her age? Was that something not customary where he was from. "And I'm old enough," she crossed her arms. Not that young. Sure, she couldn't legally drink for another two years, three months, and five days, but hey, who was counting?

The red head was busy doing her usual things before she had the time actually focus on her clothes. She just picked out clothes, put on her make up, and went with the day. After the swim club, she changed into the clothes she brought with her and was planning to go to a store today to get some new clothes. She’s been to busy that she had forgotten to buy some clothes of her own nowadays.

She was just walking to one of the stores, but it seems as if they were a bit full. She sighed and decided to look around for another store. That’s when a girl came up to her and asked her a question. She looked at the girl and saw her outfit. Wow. This person really had a great sense of fashion. Better than hers. But why is she asking about her shoes?

Gou then decided to answer her question. “Um…Macy’s.” she replied, “Where did you get that top?” she asked her.

"Macy's? How long ago and were they on sale when you bought them?" she asked curiously. Those factors would determine if Minori even could purchase them at another time.

"Oh, this?" she gestured to her shirt picking it up slightly from her abdominal area. "I believe at an outlet shopping strip on sale. Possibly one of the best discoveries I ever made on my own," she smiled proudly. "And matching it with the right accessories, shoes, and clothing, you have the perfect top," she twirled excitedly.

Oh, the joys of coordinating outfits down to the last make up detail was always the best part of her day, but with her new job, she didn't always have the chance to experiment new colors. She was to be unnoticed which included staying away from outrageous new palettes. No, she wouldn't focus on that right now.

"I'm actually about to go on a little shopping adventure at the moment. Wanna come with?" she offered the other an invitation. Young people. Always open to the new opportunity for friendship. Well, this was anyway.

Day 1 of my imprisonment

It's amazing that I can still write despite how hard they worked me today. I'm pretty sure that this is extensive, brutal child labor. Anyway, I had to lug around heavy buckets filled with water especially whenever I would answer a question incorrectly. Well, it may have had something to do with my answers were slightly sarcastic and at times a bit dramatic, but they were asking for it! These people forced me to sign out of school permanently. I mean, it's not like I really liked school, but that's where I talked to all of my FRIENDS! It totally sucks I won't be able to see them every day. It's total crap if you ask me, but apparently my opinion doesn't matter. Like one guest asked about her outfit, and I simply said the truth. Her hair color and her clothes made her skin look really, really washed out. I thought I was staring at a ghost for a few moments. But apparently I wasn't supposed to say anything, and if I do, it's suppose to compliment people. I can't lie to that woman. She needed to know! I was doing her a favor! Why can't people appreciate that? Ugh. Oh, I got a roommate by the way. She's kind of quiet sometimes. I don't really know much about her. Just her name's Haruka. I guess that's an okay name. Hmm... When I know more about her, I'll let you know. My hand hurts now, and I have to be up early tomorrow morning. Can you believe that I have to be awake by 4 AM! That isn't even to get ready. Something about jobs we have to do before actually going to the house we clean. As long as everyone does their task then the head house servant is happy, so everyone is expected to be done with it at 4:30 AM before going about their usual routines. When am I ever supposed to sleep?! I guess better now before it gets too late.

Good night my only friend in this prison.

"Ah i see. So you work with elders? Any of your family? Well, i am the head butler for the estate. So i make sure things are done perfectly. However, as how the servants that work with are slackers so i usually end up doing most of the work. My daughter works as well, only a bit though."

"Mhm!" Claudia nodded. "I dust an’ hang up laundry wi’ff miss Hannah!" She blurted out in English. Only to realize that Minori did not know English so she tried her hardest to remember the little Japanese words she knew. "I fold a-and um…." That was all she knew and frankly she felt a bit embarrassed. She looked down a bit and started to feel shy again.

She listened to what the older male had to say. If this butler's master's estate was anything like the Sohma estate... It would be madness to try and clean an entire estate. Perhaps he did it in sections. There is no way someone could clean something this large.

Hearing the younger girl speak up, Minori turned her attention to her before tilting her head in confusion. The little girl was saying jibberish. Minori didn't understand a single word.

"Oh, fold!" she smiled upon realizing that the young girl probably didn't speak much Japanese. "I'm sure you help him a lot," she smiled before addressing the butler.

"Incompetent house servants? Why have them in the first place?"

He just wanted to grab some dried fish for lunch, seeing as he forgot the one Tohru had made him. He scolded himself. It was right there, dammit. Right on the damn table where it always was. He could picture it. The simple bento packed with all his favorite things. He rolled his neck and ran a tanned hand through his bright hair, turning his gaze to the sunny sky. At least the weather was nice.

Paid and ready to leave. Only a step out of the store when— he leaned back, hair standing on edge. It always made him uneasy when people got too close— he wasn’t used to it— especially when that person so happened to be a girl.

"What?" He was still in panic mode, taking a few steps back.

"Get that crap away from me! Who the hell do you think you are?!"

"It isn't crap. It's orange soda. Delicious orange soda, actually" she scolded him before taking a sip but not backing away from him. What was it with him? Was he afraid of girls? Aww, he was afraid of girls! That was simply precious. Not to mention...

She took a few steps back before giving him a not-so-subtle look over, he was attractive, too. Strange hair color, yes. Maybe he was rebelling against something. Wait, hadn't he asked another question?

"Me?" she asked placing a hand on her chest as if he could be speaking to someone else.

"Does it matter?" she asked skeptically before over thinking it. Wait, he thinks I'm totally cute, doesn't he? That's why he wants to know! She could feel the excitement building in her as she twirled her hair with a finger that had originally been on her chest.

That's all anyone was telling her these days. Do this, do that because it's her job. Why did she have this job again? She was only 17 years old. Oh, yeah. For opening her mouth. How could she even forget?

"Fine," she pointed at him.

"Respect," she lowered her fingers recalling that pointing wasn't very polite. I'll give you respect because you're right. It is my job," she stated flatly.

"I don't have to do it with a smile or fake anything to please you, sir," she stated stressing the "sir" part before recalling the basic structure that Haruka had taught her when speaking with others.

"Now, I'm sorry to inform you, but Ayame-sama is out. Was there something I could help you with?" she asked her voice sounding more annoyed, but at least she wasn't yelling anymore. "If not then leave," she grumbled underneath her breath.

If the house servants went through all of the trouble of hiding what Minori saw then this guy must be pretty important, and her smug smirk was replaced with a worried one as she tried to cover up what she said. "But what do I know, really? I'm just a maid, right?" she chuckled nervously.

Claude had stepped into the home while holding the little girl’s hand. “Both would be good thank you.” He carefully took it from her and began to write in the small notebook. “So are you the only maid here?” He said as he was writing. Since he was there, he thought he could make a small conversation with the maid.

Claudia’s eyes wondered around the room. Her eyes were filled with curiosity as she stared around the room. Hopefully whoever this ‘master’ was she heard words of here and there would be nice enough to let her explore sometime.

"You are welcome," she nodded as he accepted the small items. "For the estate? No, no, no. That would be insanity. One person having to maintain everything? Who could even do that? I only care for Ayame-sama's home, and if the old ladies want to give me busy work, I'll have to dust a few hallways at the main house," she answered becoming a bit too casual with the way she was speaking to the guest. Oops.

"How about yourself, sir?" she asked attempting to humble herself. "You said you have a master. What do you do for him?"

Ever since becoming a maid for the inner Sohma estate, Minori had been determined to get back her freedom. She wasn't sure how quite yet, and the only reason she didn't just disappear from the estate was because she was worried that the facility her grandmother was living at would have a terrible incident occur. It was not worth the risk whatsoever, so she continued doing her job as a house servant even if it meant having to deal with rich spoiled brats.

There were some days she would completely rebel and go AWOL for a few hours. One of the older women had pissed her off, so Minori went for what she called long walks.

On her walk, she came across an unfamiliar pathway and noticed someone a little ways ahead just standing there. As she got closer, she called out, "is there something special about the spot you're at?"
