all these years I asked for feedback. all these years nobody told me how bad my writing was...

was it because people were afraid to hurt my feelings? or couldn't put it into words how bad it was, because it was that bad? or thought that since english isn't my native language there was nothing they could have suggested?

ever since my grandfather died I was not in a good place. he was the only father figure I had, and the women in my life have always been on the toxic side. I did not take his death well and even though I cried my eyes out for weeks I still didn't get over it. especially since my mom and grandma... well... they are something.

I've been trying to disengage from reality as best as I could for the past... half a year or year? I drank a bit too much.

I woke up a few weeks ago. overweight for one. but I expected that. can't eat that much junk food and pretend otherwise. but I woke up with a couple extra wrinkles on my face. that sent me right into the middle aged crisis. I'm middle aged. I have new wrinkles. I was planning to learn and start prepping for a new profession, but because of the stress, covid and my grandpa's death I procrastinated. what's worse... well, looks like my husband and I are on the same page and wouldn't mind having a kid if we're lucky???

I thought my life is sunny side up eggs, and turns out it's scrambled eggs. I started learning the thing I wanted and I'm having fun, but I find it so hard accepting that I'm 35 and middle aged... I find it so hard accepting the wrinkles. like I woke up one day and the filter fell off and suddenly everything around me is not prettified anymore.

I thought I wouldn't care or worry about this stuff. kinda ashamed that I do. I feel like if I lived my life farther from my abusive family in a better environment I would've made slightly different choices. ah the useless what ifs.

I thought covid and the war and everything didn't mess me up this much, but they did. I don't recognise myself in the mirror and it's a scary feeling.
