Favorite Ln character of all the franchise?, spin offs like VLN, Altered Echoes and extended media
I appreciate how vast the selection here is, but even out of everybody, I'm always gonna pick her:
For a few reasons:
-She's me.
-No literally like I perceive her as a character core to understanding my own identity. If you get her, you'll get Me.
-Her arc and story across the franchise is just wonderful. It isn't happy, but it's so well executed that it's left a lasting impression upon me.
-At the same time, there's enough mystery about her that you can add whatever you want, basically. I like when a character isn't put in a box like that. Not everything has to be explained. I could probably write a book on all my headcanons about her!
-Nostalgia is also a big factor. Younger Me got attached to Six right away, because as a kid I saw her as a reflection of my self. "A little girl trying to fight her way through a weird, nonsensical, hateful world- just like me!" I don't feel that way right now, but I still adore her.
-Lastly, all of her designs are iconic. She NEVER sleeps. Her drip is immaculate. The raincoat? Iconic. Genre-defining. Her grey jumper? Also iconic. The t-shirt and shorts? She's chillmaxxing. Queen.
... Though, I feel like this is kind of a boring answer (to pick The Main Character out of EVERYONE) so I'll list some other favorites below:
Favorite piece of media in the whole franchise: Little Nightmares 2. It's simply perfect. So much about it makes me feel so many different emotions. The platforming puzzles are fun, the story is compelling, the designs are my favorite in the series, and you can hold hands! It's one of those pieces of media where I just wish there was more.
Favorite LN3 Character: Low- before the DLC, and then Dime snuck up and stole his spot! I guess it's a tie?
Favorite Comics Character: Myra Wan. Honestly, she's so interesting to me that I'd read a story about her even if it wasn't Descent to Nowhere. The "police detective in a gritty noir city struggling with addiction" isn't a new trope, but it's never a lady, is it? I almost wish there was a whole spin-off about her solving mysteries in the Counties- but then, I guess the Counties would stop being a mystery...
Favorite Resident: The Ferryman. God. He's just... imposing, and cryptic, but he doesn't force anything. For all the power he seems to hold, he's calm, reserved, almost gentle. He doesn't intervene or do anything to change fates. He's only an envoy, facilitating all the great and terrible passages. If he is a mere limb of the Nowhere, just how powerful is the core? It's spooky. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Also his voice.
Favorite Area: The Forest & The Hunter's Cabin. It reminds me of the place where I grew up. Even the swamp and the muck and the trash, and the corpses and traps and the man with a rifle. I'd spend a whole game running around here if I could.
