وَعَنْ أبي يَحْيَى صُهَيْبِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ: عَجَباً لأمْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِنَّ أَمْرَهُ كُلَّهُ لَهُ خَيْرٌ، وَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ لأِحَدٍ إِلاَّ للْمُؤْمِن: إِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ سَرَّاءُ شَكَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْراً لَهُ، وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ ضَرَّاءُ صَبَرَ فَكَانَ خيْراً لَهُ. رواه مسلم.

A part of being an adult is living with regret and not allowing it to consume you. The older you get, the more mistakes you’ve made, opportunities you’ve missed, people you’ve disappointed. And every day you have to remind yourself to be kind and forgiving of yourself. You accept and love the you from the past and understand that it’s all a part of the process. Then you move on and live your best life, knowing now as old as you feel today, you’ll never be this young again.

Lesson from Surah Al-Kahf: When Allahﷻ puts the faith of a person to trial, But a believer is steadfast in his belief, then Allahﷻ assist them in a way that are beyond his comprehension. You need to be faithful towards Allahﷻ. In’Sha’Allah you will get reward.

Push your hands into the dirtiest parts of yourself. Take the rot and decay and turn it into nourishment and life. Grow a beautiful garden from your aching and teach yourself how to thrive from it.

You have to trust that there will be people who won’t abandon you. You have to believe that you are deserving. You have to fight your trigger/patterns by knowing what they are and where they came from. You have to forgive yourself for not knowing any better. Accept your underlying fear of abandonment and powerlessness. Try to take deep breaths when you‘re overwhelmed by your emotions. Do your best to withhold your subconscious need to control. Allow yourself to be in the Now. And trust that you can deal with the outcome, no matter what.
