softer prospects

haven't posted in a while (damn you, depression *shakes fist at the sky), but i plan on sharing my stucky bingo stuff soon!

sorry for not posting in a minute, but i just got a new job, yay!

steve rogers was lost when he woke up from the ice. everything was new, yet the same. there was always a fight. but when he saw that bucky was alive, steve, too, rose from the ashes.

steve rogers was an artist at heart. he saw the beauty in everything. he could tell that god took his time sculpting bucky out of clay.

steve and bucky always knew how to be soft with each other. much like breathing, it was second nature

all steve and bucky wanted was a little more time

after the events of catws, bucky wanders new york, trying to put together the missing pieces of his life. he visits the exhibit on captain america, trying to find answers. it seems no matter what, everything was tied to steve. friends since childhood and friends on the battlefield. bucky felt the need to protect him, even if it was from himself. bucky leaves the country with only a pamphlet from the exhibit, holding it close to his heart, in reverence

steve rogers hated his body. his bum heart. his partial deafness. his crooked spine. his putrid lungs. he hated his very soul for loving another man. but bucky adored him. every inch of his freckled skin. the glimmer in his smile. the burning determination in his eyes.

in the late 1930s/early 1940s, bucky would sneak money into steve's jacket & pants pockets. he knew steve was too stubborn to ask for help, especially after sarah's death. bucky always wanted to give steve more, because he deserved it. to bucky, steve deserved the world.

steve and bucky started cuddling when new york winters grew harsher. at first, they blamed their broken radiator and the thin walls of their apartment. but feeling bucky's breath against his neck made steve turn around and face his best friend with a burning gaze. they're centimeters away, nearly inhaling each other until they finally close the gap and give into their desires

way back, when they were both just two kids from brooklyn, bucky fell in love first, but steve fell in love harder.
