Polyamory is an extremely big trigger for me due to 2 horribly abusive poly relationships I used to be in and a third poly relationship I was coerced into which turned into them taking advantage of my mental health and both of them threatening to not only post my naked body, but also leak my home address, my credit card information, my families locations, etc. if I tried to leave the relationship. Due to that, seeing those types of dynamics, especially interacting with my personal posts, causes me really intense flashbacks and then I get extremely paranoid that it’s those abusive people coming back to hurt me. I was in therapy for it to try and deal with the paranoia, flashbacks, fear, anger, etc but was unable to continue affording therapy once my daughter was born, so it’s a trigger I’m extremely unable to cope with currently. I don’t hate poly people, but the dynamic itself is horribly terrifying to me and it’s not something I can cope around currently. That’s about as much detail as I can go into without triggering myself. I know a lot of people are curious about this and I may go into better detail one day but please accept that for now, this is all I can handle saying.

Thank you so much. It’s just so frustrating that I can’t just say “it’s my biggest trigger” because then people practically demand to know the details of it and it’s like,,, they don’t have to explain their trauma to justify their triggers so why am I being forced to share my trauma? It’s fucked up
