In terms of sound design it fits the arcane hextech sounds and the lore in the comic feels purposefully similar to Viktor's ascension and mental wreckage in arcane.

Said this on bluesky but it would be sooooooo easy to say jayvik end up in the spirit realm. It's been established in lore as a transient place between death and life, away from the mortal timeline. Yunara's myth is from ages ago and only recently she's been 'freed' by this disturbance. We've gotten confirmation that all the current spirit blossom beyond lore takes place after Arcane, which puts these freak accidents describing magic 'reawakening' across the globe right after jayce and viktor activate the wild rune in piltover.
