“Oh Mother, I don’t think I ever wanna go back! This camisole from Grammie as a welcome to womanhood and I want her to see how much I love it. I feel so pretty in it and it makes me feel so feminine wearing it over my bra, such a new experience for me. I feel so alive now! If the boys stare, I guess I'll have to get used to it anyway. And I doubt men would have any interest in a girl my age.

Oh I forgot to mention to you, Mother. I went over Ellie's house yesterday to start to get acquainted with some of the girls. Oh Mother, they're all so delightful!! They've accepted me as a new girl completely! They're going to help me adjust when we go back to school with getting used to the girl's room, gym class and the girl's locker room and how to deal with annoying boys. They're all so much more mature than those silly boys, although there are some boys that I think will accept me and might even like me.
