I came here to reread Lulu and Elain's scenes but ended up with more Elriel moments

In conclusion of my acomaf-acowar rr, this is what I just wanted to say

Not only he's making Elain feel uneasy, the bond makes Lucien feel uncomfortable too ("dripped in discomfort" - acosf, ch. 40).

But not once does he try to convince her that they should call off their deal. When he stops by to check on her at the factory (just a few hours after he last saw her), he offers her his apartment or the cave as places where she can take refuge if the real world becomes too much for her, but he doesn’t say a word about how it would be better for her to stay away from him.

That only comes when he realizes how close Lauren has gotten to him and, above all, how close he’s let her get. What Kieran fears most, what compels him to run away, to push Lauren from him, are his own feelings.

He’s not used to them; he’s learned to lock them away and avoid the pain they cause—and suddenly, he can’t do it anymore. And that scares him.

We’re officially less than 100 days until ACOTAR 6 releases and I wanted to share a commission to celebrate 🥳 I'm so excited to finally read more about Elain and Azriel's journey. It’s going to be a beautiful ride and I can't wait to see where SJM takes us 💙🩷

Azriel smiled faintly. “Would you like me to show you the garden?” She seemed so small before him, so fragile compared to the scales of his fighting leathers, the breadth of his shoulders. The wings peeking over them. But Elain did not balk from him, did not shy away as she nodded—just once.

Azriel, graceful as any courtier, offered her an arm. I couldn’t tell if she was looking at his blue Siphon or at his scarred skin beneath as she breathed, “Beautiful.” Color bloomed high on Azriel’s golden-brown cheeks, but he inclined his head in thanks and led my sister toward the back doors into the garden, sunlight bathing them.
