“I am, but right now this is just a pathetic excuse for a party. It shouldn’t even be called a party, it’s practically a wake because it’s so lifeless.”

“so liven it up Harry! that’s what you do”

“Oh, that…my phone got drowned. Long story. But I basically got a new phone and moved after Noah left. God, I am such an ass. I’m so sorry, Sof.”

“It happened, and it sucked but like, I don’t know. You were busy being you” 

“I really do not think you can ever get used to Sandy’s parties. But, hi! God, it is so good to see you!”

“oh my goodness, it’s amazing to see you! I’ve missed you!”

“Oh, shut up. Of course you are allowed. I just never thought I would see you again ”

“After things calmed down at home, Noah said he wasn’t gonna come back.  But my job is here and you were here and then I got promoted to a publisher and was traveling and meeting writers but am being put back full time here so I was kinda pushed into moving back here. You know, I tried to call and text and face-time you, but you never answered or responded. I even wrote you letters. If you didn’t want to be with me anymore you could’ve just said so...instead of not answering”

“These parties always remind me just how much of a fairytale world I’m living in now– back home nobody would go this out for Halloween. I can’t complain though, I feel like a kid again.” The Brit tried to recall the girls face, but he couldn’t come up with a name. “Cheers, you look great too… but, uh, do we know each other?“

“Oh I know how you feel. This town is more then a fairytale compared to where I’m from. I could never dream of a party like this there” She looked at his confused face and decided to mess with him. “oh I was that girl you hooked up with uptown a few weeks ago. I’m Sofia? remember?”

Hey relax its just me! No reason to be scared, I mean besides the haunted house. 

SpiderMan has always been my favorite superhero, but wasn’t expecting him to pop up behind me like that.

I bet it does take some getting use to. But its not bad though right? Thanks so do you, I like the ears.

I wouldn’t say bad...just, uh, surprising to say the least. I made them myself! 

“What are you doing…here?”

“It seems I’m at a Halloween Haunted House party...am I not allowed to be here?”

“I…Sofia…?”

“oh goodness. Damian...”

“Okay, one last scene left and this film will be done! …Now who wants to go for some pizza?”

“I will not be held to false promises...you said one last scene five scenes ago.”

“Maybe, it kind of depends on whether or not the gift is any good…”

“Fine, I’ll take back your new cuff links. They had mickey on them loser”

Damian gently wrapped an arm around her waist, softly brushing her hair back from her face. “I’m sorry. I just wished you’d told me. I thought I could maybe help you, like, either financially or emotionally or anything like that,” he said, rubbing her back and hoping that she wouldn’t leave him because it would honestly break his heart. “You are the best present, but that would be nice!” he laughed.

Sofia kissed his forehead and moved to get up. “I know it’s nothing special but I think that everybody deserves a Mickey Ear hat with their name on it” she giggled pulling it out of the bag she had on the floor and put it on his head and putting the strap around his chin. “Even more adorable then I imagined, I must take a picture”
