so did job all days​

Then Job answered:

 “Today also my complaint is bitter,     his hand is heavy in spite of my groaning.

Oh, that I knew where I might find him,     that I might come even to his seat!

I would lay my case before him     and fill my mouth with arguments. 

I would learn what he would answer me,     and understand what he would say to me.

Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power?

Job 23: 1-6

No one else was present, aside from the two elders who were watching her from their concealed hiding place

Then Susanna began to scream, and the two elders shouted against her,  as one of them ran to open the garden doors. 

Daniel 13: 16,24-25

 Peter said to her,

“Tell me whether you sold the land for this much.”

She replied, “Yes, that was the price.”

 Then Peter asked her,

“Why did the two of you agree to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Listen!

The footsteps of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will also carry you out.”

 Instantly, she fell down at his feet and died.

Acts 5: 9-10

When Ananias heard these words, he collapsed and died, and a great sense of fear seized all who heard about it.

 The young men came forward and wrapped up his body.

Although she witnessed the deaths of her seven sons within the space of a single day, she endured it courageously because of her hope in the Lord.

Apocalypse 6: 7

 The king fell into a rage, and gave orders that pans and caldrons be heated.

These were heated immediately, and he commanded that the tongue of their spokesman be cut out and that they scalp him and cut off his hands and feet, while the rest of the brothers and the mother looked on. 

 When he was utterly helpless, the king ordered them to take him to the fire, still breathing, and to fry him in a pan.
