"It's funny, in films like Nowhere Boy, you'll get this thing where John's mum is teaching him rock-and-roll or buying rock-and-roll records. But two of John's favourite songs, when I met him, were 'Close your eyes, put your head on my shoulder...' which is very much a Thirties/ Forties song.
