I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to come in and say that I'm a huge fan of your writing. A friend of mine is in the MCSM community and shared with me some of the trouble you were having with toxic community members. I just want to say that I am so sorry for what you had to go through. I don't know much about MCSM, but I took a shot at your fanfic "The Forest's Blessing" after seeing some screenshots. It's such a beautiful and engaging story. You must know that even if you were trying to rewrite a trope into the story, us poc are allowed to do so, if you hadn't known already. I actually did a thesis on the topic for college. The same as we can reclaim slurs, we are allowed to reclaim racist tropes that white people have used against us. I don't know what those people who are hating on your story are on. Even just a quick google search is all it takes to confirm what you as a poc are allowed to write. They set themselves up for disaster. I didn't feel as though the story or Jesse's character was racist. The character you wrote him to be is completely three dimensional. His backstory and everything leading up to his transformation is extremely compelling, although the end results are quite tragic. It brought tears to my eyes. You are an incredibly skilled author. I would absolutely hate to see a fellow poc with so much creative potential be restricted or censored. Please, do not stop creating. And don't ever let them control your creative freedom. You're better than that. That being said, I can't wait to read the rest of the story. And congrats on the marriage!
