"You feel a bit warm."
or
"You're a bit warm."
Said by the healthy person to the sick one after a quick, accidental touch or a mildly concerned forehead feel.
Drives me up the wall every time.
Ok I KNOW this one is weird but I prefer not to be blessed. I think it’s just some leftover childhood anxiety—‘bless you’ called attention to something I preferred no one call attention to, and I don’t know it’s just weird.
Just tell me my sneezes are hot af, no need to bless me
Where my snzfucker girlies who have crippling germaphobia irl at??

Not snz but just general whump
The idea of someone literally “waking up with a fever” is so sweet to me. Just imagine whumpee at their partners house, having a slight headache and a weird feeling in their throat, but thinking nothing of it, taking a nap with partner and blaming it on being tired. In a few hours, whumpee wakes up to partner placing a cold flannel to their forehead and whispering their name into their ear.
“Hey, you gotta wake up baby, you’re burning up. Why didn’t you tell me you weren’t feeling good?” In a hushed voice.
Whumpee lets their eyes close as partner feels their cheeks and embrace them again. They feel terrible, but maybe waking up sick was the perfect catalyst for the love and care they so desperately desired.
A couple sharing a bed and a cold. That's it.
having super normal thoughts about someone who doesn’t care at all about contagion or politeness, or who perhaps *enjoys* spreading their snot and germs; they’ll sniffle until their sinuses are so incredibly waterlogged that not a single drop more of snot can be contained, then let it all out in a closed-mouth sneeze that sprays ropes of watery snot all over whatever’s in front of them. forcing all the pressure of the sneeze through their nostrils ensures the contents of their snot-filled nose will coat everything in a ten-foot cone. and they’re perfectly fine with that.
Elevator sneeze scenarios:
A person with a nasty cold is SO tired they just can't bring themselves to trudge up the stairs to 15th floor, as their sinuses are so full and congested that they hurt with every step.
A person unaware of catching a cold, stepping in the full elevator only to feel a sudden tickle overpower their unsuspecting nose, causing them to release the very first sneeze of their cold into the crowded elevator
A person being completely miserable and full of cold, who just spent one hour in a meeting, suppressing sneezes until their sinuses were on fire. They step into the empty elevator, so glad thar the meeting is finally over, and take a deep breath as the doors slide close. Finally, they are alone, not under the scrutiny of bosses or colleagues. It feels so nice to just breathe and... "Hehh'YiiSsHhZzshu!!" Oh God, the sneeze they'd been holding in just escaped... right as the elevator doors had opened on the next floor to let more people in...
Two peolpe stepping into the empty elevator of their apartment building, one leaning heavily against the other, their bright red nose peeking out from behind a well-used handkerchief. "We're almost home, love," their partner reassures them, "then we can get you changed into your favorite pajamas and get you to bed." The reply is a sharp, wet, desperate sneeze, followed by a shy sniffle. "That sounds ndice...."

so fucking sick right now, hope someone can enjoy my misery. Here's my millionth sneezing fit of the day (sorry about the coughing, I couldn't hold it back)
an unapologetically germy sneeze right into their palm, then a congested sniffle and "excuse mbe, i'b ndot feeligg well."
When a person feels kind of tired and a little sensitive and emotional, so they decide to take a nap to recharge their batteries, hoping to feel better afterwards only to wake up from the nap sick as a dog, with a touch of fever, a head filled with cotton and a nose full of cold.
the thought of someone being so full of cold that they are literally overflowing with snot ... no matter how much they sniffle it isn't enough to keep it in ... no matter how many times they blow their nose it will almost immediately be plugged up and running again ... every sneeze is a huge cloud of wet spray ...

the kind of nose blows so snotty and productive that they can be described as "gurgly" or "crackling". the kind of nose blows that immediately fill up a tissue with just one blow. the kind of nose blows that turn into coughs due to the tickle in their throat they create. the kind of nose blows that make their ears pop. the kind of nose blows that leave their aching nostrils looking even more red and chapped than they did before. the kind of nose blows so congested and exhausting that they're followed by a series of moans, groans and exhausted stuffed up "guh"s.
⚠️ ⚠️⚠️ Now that Sicktember is here, I ask that anyone on here PLEASE tag their emeto posts! It would help me (and others, I'm sure) a great deal.
While emeto doesn't bother me, I'd like to spread awareness that a fair few of our friends really don't handle it well. So as a courtesy please tag accordingly!
a reminder for anyone who chooses to read my stuff, i will warn explicitly if there is ANY emeto reference in it, no matter how passing, in the notes at the beginning before the fic is even starting
YES! As someone who has emetephobia but will still occasionally reference, I’ll be tagging all my stuff either with the tag or I’ll write it in the “CW: ___” at the top!!
