Kamu-Yamato-Iwarebiko-no-mikoto ～the first emperor who established the royal power in Yamato
Kamu-Yamato-Iwarebiko-no-mikoto is the ancient Japanese name of the first Emperor Jinmu. The “ Kam (god)” in the name of the deity refers to respect, and the ” Yamato" refers to the Yamato region (now Nara Prefecture) where the ancient kingdom was established, and “Iware” refers to the area around present-day Kashihara City in Nara. In other words, the name means “a noble man who built a palace and ruled in a place called Iware in Yamato.
His real name is Hikohohodemi, which he shares with the alias of his grandfather Hoori-no-mikoto. In other words, he is a legitimate descendant of Ninigi-no-mikoto.
The story of this deity, as seen in the Chronicles, is one of twists and turns and tumultuous events.
From Takachiho in southern Kyushu, he made a long expedition eastwards, flattening the local tribes (earthly gods) along the way, but not only did he not enter the land easily, he spent a long time attacking it. The first time he invaded Yamato, his eldest brother Itsuse no Mikoto was badly wounded and died.
Having detoured as far as Kumano, Amaterasu appeared to him in a dream and sent Yatagarasu (crow) to guide the way, also the sword of Takemikazuchi helps Emperor Jimmu when he is trapped in Kumano, along with the help of the heavenly gods, they crossed the Yoshino mountains and finally entered Yamato.
神倭伊波礼毘古命（かむやまといわれびこのみこと）～大和に王権を築いた初代天皇
神倭伊波礼毘古命（かむやまといわれびこのみこと）とは、初代の神武天皇の和名である。神名の「神（かむ）」は美称、「倭（やまと）」は古代王権が築かれた大和地方（現：奈良県）のこと、「伊波礼（いわれ：磐余）」は現在の橿原市（かしはらし）あたりを指している。つまり、この名前は「大和の磐余（いわれ）という場所に宮殿を構えて治世を行なった貴い男子」という意味である。
諱(いみな:実名)は彦火火出見（ひこほほでみ）だが、これは、祖父の火遠理命（ほおりのみこと）の異称と共通する。すなわち、天孫・瓊瓊杵命（ににぎのみこと）の嫡流（ちゃくりゅう）であることを表す。
記紀神話に見えるこの神の伝承は、紆余曲折（うよきょくせつ）波乱万丈（はらんばんじょう）そのものである。
南九州の高千穂から長い時間をかけて東へと遠征し、途中で各土地の豪族（国津神）を平らげながら進軍していくが、すんなりと入れないばかりか、攻略に費やした期間も長期にわたる。最初に大和に攻め入った時には、長兄の五瀬命（いつせのみこと）が深手を負って亡くなった為、いったん熊野まで迂回した。そこで天照大御神（あまてらすおおみかみ）が夢に現れて道案内の八咫烏（やたがらす）を遣わし、さらに建御雷の剣が熊野で手こずっていた神武天皇を助けるなど、天津神の助けを得て、吉野の山を超え、漸く大和に攻め入った。
