Returning to annual expansions for GW2. This will begin after an 18 month break.

They're going to use the Hall of Monuments as an excuse to go back and revisit the entirety of the game in these 18 months.

Will use this time before GW3 release to address and clean up longstanding issues.

Colin specifically wants to fix the Zhaitan fight.

Players are worried that they won't be able to deliver on everything they've announced. However, they've already been working on GW3 for years so they're confident.

Anet have separate teams working on GW2 and GW3. They will not be sharing staff between teams so they will have resources for both.

Hall of Monuments will both reward you for achievements you've already completed as well as new ones.

Hall of Monuments achievements will be added as part of the refreshed areas of the game to encourage people to play through those areas.

Rolling out the core game changes in two releases. Followed by updates to the current expansions at a month and a half to two months pace.

GW Reforged will not be connected to the new Hall of Monuments.

Considering ways they may be able to honor GWAMM from GW1 in GW3

Concerns from the community about the upcoming physically based rendering (PBR) updates. They're working hard to make sure that PBR changes won't feel weird against older assets.

Anet are generally working to optimize the game going forward. They will make the updates optional where possible.

They're using lessons they've learned from the Desert Borderlands WvW map to help guide decisions about the new map. They'll have betas for the new map to gather feedback from players.

Concerns about GW2 maps becoming empty. However, they've seen a 40% increase of daily players in GW2 since the announcement.

GW2 will not be able to be ported to console. The game would have to be changed too much for that to be possible.

Anet's goal is to create MMO experiences that tackle issues players are having at that time with other MMOs. It feels like the right time for them to make another GW game because the genre is ready for it.

They want to continue to support all three games because they're very different experiences and have players that enjoy each game.

Anet very intentionally chose the timeline for GW3 for its lack of technological advances that are common in GW2. Hoping for a more grounded, high fantasy experience.

They feel a responsibility to keep GW2 as game that people will return to again and again.
