We are happy to report that because of the overwhelming success of our anniversary party we were able to donate $1750 to the Cabrillo Education Fund today! They are doing wonderful things to enhance the educational experience of our youth on the coast and we are happy to be able to contribute in a small way to the community. Meet this year's anniversary beer, "Apricots & Social Skills", a traditional Berlinger Weiss brewed with lactobacillus cultures and 50% wheat. At 3.2%, it is crushable and damn refreshing if we don't say so ourselves. We infused it with Apricot purée which lends pleasant stone-fruit flavors and aromas to balance its eloquent tartness. Silver? Why, yes, we love silver! Apparently, it's the color of the day! Hop Dogma wins three silver medals at the U.S. Open Beer Championship! We won for our Ol' Keller Pilsner (kellerbier), Rockbiter Roggenbier (Rye beer), and Pyro's Prost (Chili Beer). We are particularly trilled to have won another award for our Pilsner which we've been working really hard on to dial in. Congrats to all the other winners this year. Cheers to beers! We take our Independence seriously! We opened four years ago today!! The building we are in is called Liberty Court so we thought it fitting to hang a copy of the Declaration of Independence in there. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend and getting their grills prepped for the 4th of July! Wow, this 4th will also be our four year anniversary! That went by fast. Crazy to think about how much has changed and where we are today. What started off as a little homebrew club idea kinda spiraled out of control didn't it? I could write about it forever so let's save that for a blog. We will be closing early Tuesday evening (6ish) to allow our employees to enjoy time with their friends and family. So please plan your growler fills and can pickups accordingly. As far as our anniversary party goes, we are planning to celebrate August 5th.
