In this part there’ll be Elena, Zack, Cid, and Yuffie. I have a Sephiroth and Vincent playlist, but I’ll save them for part 3. Each part I’ll do 4 at a time. I’ll probably make playlists for the other main Turks. I attempted Rude and Reno but gave up 😭

Elena

Starting off with Elena because look at this beautiful topster. I think she’d listen to 2000’s pop/electropop. Not overly soft like… let’s say Taylor Swift but more of that recession pop sound and mcbling. TikTok buzzwords, but that should make sense. HER GUN IS PINK AND BEDAZZLED!!!

I had to break my rule of only having songs before 2007-2008 a little bit more because there’s that transition to a more electronic sound the music industry had at the time that’s more later yk, so yeah Kesha’s there I couldn’t not put her

Zack

Please forgive me if this doesn’t seem accurate, because I STILL haven’t played crisis core (kill me ik), but I think Zack would listen to a mix of rap, rock, and electronic music. And a lot of the rock, is Christian nu metal 💀 I don’t know why but it just fits Zack in my head. Very determined and emotional but not edgy.

Most of the electronic music is hardstyle. When people think of hardstyle today they probably think of the nonsense it turned into with the co-opting but the hardstyle here is early hardstyle and nustyle. It’s energetic and uplifting and I think Zack would like it and work out to it and stuff.

Cid

I feel like this is more obvious than the others, but the albums here don’t really reflect what the rest of the playlist looks like. He’d also listen to you know your arena rock songs, Dream On, Eye of the Tiger, Don’t Stop Believin’, The Final Countdown. AND I STAND THAT CID IS THE BIGGEST ZZ TOP FAN and a closeted Nickelback liker. He probably disses most 2000’s rock.

Yuffie

Yuffie’s playlist is interesting to me because I know she’s putting straight bullshit in her mp3 player. Uhh this is a lot how do I explain this… she listens to punk… electroclash… j-rock… 2nd gen kpop… like there’s things with actual punk influence like x-ray spex then there’s kpop and Ayumi hamasaki she’s a teenage girl ok

I’ve always wanted to get my feelings out on this. I’ve tried writing an essay, but then I thought, why am I writing an essay during summer break? So I’m just gonna yap and put this blog’s name to use

I lowkey lurk Ff7twt for real. I only started checking that part of twt because I really wanted to see more fanart and more aerti stuff, so I’d search “aerti” or “tifa aerith” and that last one let to me seeing some REAL tomfoolery.

But I seriously can’t stop looking at it. The discourse. It’s like a trainwreck. Sometimes it even makes me laugh, but then it ragebaits me.

I don’t know what level of cognitive dissonance is required to dismiss the plot of the game for shipping agendas, and this shit has been going on for what, 3 decades? That’s longer than the war on Afghanistan. And some of these people are twice my age, saying pure bullshit like spitting donkey shit out their mouths.

I lurk the lifestream forums too. I like old ship art so much. And it’s the SAME arguments? The same discourse? Do you ever get bored? Do you have a life? Hobbies? Anything? I won’t name names but if you know you know

And this is for both ships in the LTD too if that wasn’t clear. It’s like the Madonna whore complex. I tried putting that in the essay I was writing about this fucking fandom 😭 the girl they ship with Cloud is the Madonna and the one that “gets in the way” is the whore. And it pains me how I realize this but these grown adults with children don’t. It has to be some deep seated unprocessed trauma that really makes them hate Aerith or Tifa that viciously 💀

For example when Tifa’s the whore it’s because she’s a “fanservice character” and “shows too much skin” and when Aerith’s the whore it’s because she’s flirty, and was interested in Zack, then Cloud, because women can’t like men at separate times to them for some reason. And when Tifa’s the Madonna it’s because she’s “pure” and a “virgin” (?) for being interested in Cloud for years and when Aerith’s the Madonna she’s “pure” for not being as sexualized as Tifa (both are still VERY sexualized mind you.) Just misogynistic

I wonder what it would take for them to shut up and stop arguing. Maybe the heat death of the universe, because I JUST WANNA SEE FANART!!! BUT TWITTER SUCKS! AND I DONT WANT TO TALK ON TWITTER BECAUSE ITS EVIL!!

There’s really evil people in this fandom but they would rather… punch down on smaller accounts than deal with people who should be locked up, just to not say it directly. I heard they doxx people on there too. All over a video game. 😭 I get we love ff7 but it isn’t that serious just chill out

Tifa moved to San Myshuno, from idk... Chestnut Ridge and is working hard to save up money to open a bar, Seventh Heaven perhaps, and Aerith's from the city and works as a florist but shockingly HATES her job (her sim decided that). It turned her hobby into a chore...

Okay so… Im not really into that fancy formatting stuff… But I finished chapter 2 of my vampire x vampire hunter aerti fanfic

Basically the whole premise of the fic is that Aerith is a part of a group of vampire hunters who travel across Gaia hunting vampires based off reports and they end up in Nibelheim. There was a vampire attack that “killed” Tifa and her friends, but actually, Tifa got turned and is a newborn vampire

And aerith has a BIGGG secret 😳😳😳 well… I can’t say… because it’s spoilers… let’s just say, her and Tifa aren’t so different…

I don’t know how to start this post but basically, I make a LOT of character playlists, usually of what I think a character would listen to. I’ve already explained these on TikTok about a year ago but I wanna do it more on tumblr. The playlists are better now too! These are just my headcanons.

When picking the songs I tried to stay before 2007, or at least before 2010 because apparently FF7 takes place in “2007”, or 0007, but obviously that is not our 2007

Cloud

I think Cloud would listen to a lot of self-loathing post-grunge and alternative metal. He’d love Linkin Park, all the songs off Hybrid Theory and Meteora are literally him. Also that entire TRUSTcompany album is him too listen to it its so good. He’d also like industrial rock, not leaning ebm though but more like Filter.

When picking songs for my playlists I pay attention to the lyrics. I could post some of them but too much of them relate to Cloud… nvm I’ll limit myself to 1 for all of them…

Ok Aerith my other goat. Aerith is the Lilith Fair personified. I think she’d like singer-songwriter, indie, folk pop, art pop stuff, then like indietronica? And trip hop that specifically sounds like that one Madonna album. Very ethereal electronic music. I think I explained this so bad but there’s at least a million people in the world with this exact music taste. She inherited Fleetwood Mac from Elmyra and they’re her favorite band ever…

Chapter 1: Still Remains

All she remembered was the sun scorching her skin, then being consumed by a never-ending thirst. Searching for anything that bleeds, she picks up on a spoor and jolts in excitement. Human blood, ambrosial. Turning her head towards it, suddenly it’s not as satiating, but still, it will do. Better than one of a cervid. She settles and tracks the scent.

Her senses cut through the fog-ridden forest, guiding her straight to the source. Coming closer, the scent drowns her nerves. Her compulsion erupts. She leaps over logs and closes in on her prey.

Aerith grips the stake holstered on her waist and watches her back. Just the wind. Slowly, she looks forward, but then branches break. Whipping around, something lunges at her. Aerith points her stake out, but the figure’s movements slow, then stagger, stumbling onto her in a final grip. She guards her neck with her forearm, then observes the strange behavior. Her gaze lowers from its foggy eyes to its lips, which twitch between states of mind. The vampire’s grip fades, so Aerith shoves it away. It sprints back into the shadows. Strange.
