to me all the kids involved in the dark rooms dealt with a level of sexual violence against them, even if i don’t think jefferson ever drugged or posed nathan.

i understand that the Majority of the nathan centric side of the fandom doesn’t think that the dark room qualifies as sexual assault, but i have always thought it does..

while it’s not In Ur Face and blatantly showing u that these kids are being assaulted; the inherent violation of being drugged, kidnapped, and posed for pictures that ur Teacher & peer are taking will always be sexual

along w it being clear that to some degree jefferson and nathan find sexual gratification from it? nathan’s room is essentially filled w bondage photos, & described as looking perverted when taking the photo of chloe. jefferson also makes weird comments towards max in ep5, saying that he wishes she was around when He was younger

also, every character who goes thru the dark room in some capacity has the same response as a sexual assault victim. kate is the Biggest example of this, and it’s Right in ur face!

i think that sexual violence is such a Heavy topic that nobody can truly get exactly right, but i rlly urge a lot of ppl that think what Happens in the dark room doesn’t “qualify” as sexual assault to think abt what they’d feel if it happened to Them. would u want it to be a topic of discussion abt if it “counts”?
