Day 2
Dedication to James McKeddie and today we rode for him. Cold and rainy with a couple of stops before we had lunch at sorrento. Great surprise when the kids from the school across the street came to see us and join us. Scenery was absolutely spectacular along the way to Sicamouse. Struggled on the hills and thanks to Jeff, Ken and Dan for helping me out. Showers and Great dinners by Fiona and Scott at the local hockey rink and now getting shuttled to lake Louise. It’s special and a privilege to have one of James’ bravery beads in my jersey pocket on this journey.

Above was what I posted on tumbler.
This is what I wrote in my diary.
After a great breakfast at Sears, it was a very emotional dedication to James. Today we ride for him. Off we go. Felt really good for the morning. A couple of stops and we arrive at Sorrento where the kids of the school came out to greet and chat. The bikes were of particular interest. All day the scenery was spectacular. At some points I just wanted to stop and take pictures. I struggled on the climbs today and there were lots until we got to Sicamouse. 7% for 1 and 2 km, 4% for 3 km. At the rest stop before Sicamouse we had this great yogurt and berries by Charlotte. Really nice lady with purple, pink, and blue dreadlocks. Scott and Fiona have been cooking up some awesome meals. Now on the way to Lake Louise.
Emotions:
I get choked up for no apparent reason.
Im in awe of how beautiful this country is.
Im so thankful for the guys helping up the climbs, Jeff, Ken, Dan.
Super happy when the kids in Sorrento came out to see us.
Sandra from Sorrento is actually Italian background from Abruzzo. Her family has been there for over 100 years. She told of the town name change. It used to be called Kings Crossing. The owner of the property saw the view like the Island of Capri after a vacation there.
