I Know I could be better

"I guess you're right. Fire does seem like it'd be more dangerous than other spells, doesn't it?" He chuckled quietly, feeling relieved when Rowan casted cure. Thankfully that was all he needed, and it wasn't more serious.

"Hey! I don't need..." Rowan slowly trailed off. leaning back slightly as if to mull it over.

“Stupid. Don’t go pushing yourself like that.” Rowan is already looking over the burns.

"I didn't mean to.. I just remembered how to do it, but I didn't think it'd explode in my face.." He whined, leaning closer to Rowan's touches.

"So your first instinct was to go for fire, huh? How about thinking before you act next time." Clicking his tongue, Rowan waved his hand over Theo's cheek, casting cure.

Well, if Rowan wasn't going to go to him.. it won't stop Theo from going to Rowan - so that's exactly what he did.

Grumbling Rowan noises in the distance

"I'm going to worry about you.. Because from what I've been told, what happened to our old home sounded terrifying. You went through all of that alone.." After all, Rowan had spent so much time in the realm of darkness, somehow hanging on completely by himself, for so long..

"And what if I know it's a waste of time and energy...." Rowan grumbled, pulling back slightly.

There was a moment where he remained silent. Brows knitted as his mind raced. This was something Theo wouldn't stop fighting for. That much was clear.

Did Theo even realize they had quite the stubborn side?

Releasing a breath, Rowan held out his hand, summoning his keyblade. With some hesitation, he flipped it in his grip, holding the blade tightly.

"You promise me you won't break?" He huffed, offering the hilt for Theo to take.

"But.. I won't know if I don't try.."

Theo deflated as Rowan ruffled his hair, moving closer to wrap his arms around the other, to hide his face with another defeated sigh.

"You don't need to worry about me." He's learned to suppress those emotions long ago anyway. Emotions he reuses to allow to seep out. It took him so many years to overcome what happened. For all of that to flood back into Theo too suddenly. He wasn't sure Theo would ever recover.

Rowan huffed, wrapping an arm around Theo to keep them close.

"But Rowan.. How much more do I have to remember in order to summon my keyblade again?" Despite Rowan's warnings from before, Theo was determined to fix the holes in his memory, and reconnect with the pieces of himself that felt so within reach.. yet also intangible.

"And if those memories only cause you more pain? What then?"

Rowan's hand moved up to ruffle Theo's hair. A small attempt at comfort, knowing full well his words wouldn't do the trick.

He held his hand outward, brows furrowed in concentration. Only a small spark occurs, a tug deep within his chest and a painful throb between his eyes.

Theo sighed in defeat, bringing his hand back to rub at the side of his neck.

Rowan is just going to stare for a moment, remaining silent. It didn't take much to figure out what Theo was trying to do, but he wasn't one for coming up with words of encouragement.
