Raichu is not typically found in the wild, as they mainly evolve via thunderstones and those aren’t very common in the wild. Wild raichu will disperse from their native grouping and travel a long distance to join another group of pikachu (as they’re stronger and thus able to safely travel longer distances) and this way promote genetic variability. The distance a raichu will cross is dependent on the species, as type 4 raichu will not travel nearly as far as type 2 raichu will, while type 1 raichu in a city will quickly find a separate group in a different part of the area and thus not travel all that far.
