Hi there. I love your fics so so much and you have given this fandom so much. But I had a question. Do you think Sheith will be canon? I mean I expect VLD to give us at least one lgbt ship but what if they change it to Klance because it is more popular even though Sheith seems more relevant? And also the recent controversies the antis are creating with death threats calling it pedophilia and all do you think it will ever be canon? Do you think Dreamworks would ever bless us?😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

it’s likely out of the creators’ hands whether or not they can have major lgbt couples in vld. there’s the perception that it would affect things like toy sales and voltron is a toy franchise before all else. sorry.

the series has been completed for a lot longer than i think you guys know! remember those cast pictures we got a while back? that was the final recording session i’m 99% sure. i’m sure they’ll do pick ups, but the series is, for all intents and purposes, completed.

LM and JDS have repeatedly expressed that KL was never intended to be implied, will never be canon, and was a shock to them at all. i think it’s really clear from the early cast/fan interactions that they expected sheith to be the major ship in this series, regardless of it becoming canon. given the trouble some contingent of KL’s shippers have given them and their VAs, there’s no way they would want to add it to their series, anyway.

for me, i’m sure of a few things. i know that shiro and keith aren’t related. i know that they’ve had staff support from the start. i know that canonically, there is no one either of these two characters are closer to or could feasibly end up with. i don’t care if they make it canon at this point because for me that would just be the icing on the cake. this is a lovely, incredible fandom, and while i love the series and support it unconditionally… them not being explicitly confirmed in canon wouldn’t stop me from loving sheith just as much.

Hi. The new Voltron series has me back into fanfiction writing (after a very long absence). I've been posting and reading (ie voraciously consuming) at A03 and find it to be a great site for breath and number of stories. tag the fandom and ship but don’t “cross tag” by tagging fandoms or pairings that aren’t in your fic

cross link to ao3 and back again!
