Lurking away in the depths of a place that is never afforded the luxury of sunlight. That's the horror we're being presented with in Kiss Land. The underbelly of a seedy place, where depravity and sin reign as kings and queens of the underground.
The anonymity is gone, and fame presents itself. The lure of the world is inviting, as are the vices offered along the way. Everything is illuminated by the neon lights that propel character into a place that is the furthest point from home.
Parties, night after night, they all blur into one. Glass table girls and predators seeking prey stink out the place. The faces all look the same, and no one has names. They don't need names, they only need to fuel the never ending party that plagues the underbelly of this City.
Every night the same, nothing changes, and home still screams out as something that meant more than this. Connections are brief, but futile. Nothing was the same, but you have no choice, this is who you are now.
Sticky dance floors burden your steps, trudging through the bad decisions you've made along the way. The lights bounce off the floor and strike your eyes, as you get lost in a dizzying rainbow, in amongst the free falling characters that haunt this room.
This is you, you are it. You cannot ever escape the reality of what has occurred previously and what will happen in time. This is where you belong now. Under a cloak of darkness, only to be lit up by the mistakes that you're about to make.
The undeniable faces you, and you can't recollect a time where this lifestyle wasn't your own. You step out from the club, into a world full of billboards and distractions. The downpour commences, rain bouncing off the ground and catching the neon light as it goes, creating bullets of light.
You tell yourself you'll never do it again. This life is something in the rear view now, but deep down you know you'll do it all again tomorrow.
