“So I finished this novel the other day…”

It was evening, and Chevreuse was at Emilie’s house after work. It had been a hot minute since they had time to get together like this after Emilie’s trip to Sumeru, but they planned a tea date party as soon as possible to catch up. These were one of the few ways Chev allowed herself to let her guard down.

Emilie sipped her tea, She was always interested in what Chevreuse had to say, but this time she was particularly interested since she heard Chev mention a perfumer.

“I need your input on this. So basically what happens is that there’s this perfumer, and she makes a scent out of human tissue. Is that even possible? And it turns out that the scent is hugely successful, even considered, like, the finest perfume ever made!”

“I doubt that’s possible…but hey, I can’t say for sure, I’ve never tried. But either way, I can’t imagine it would be a very good scent in reality.” Said Emilie, scrunching her face a little at the thought.

“I figured as much, but I’m focused on possible liabilities…it’s a weird situation. Cause it was different at first, it was a friend of the perfumer who was sick and passing away who consented to donating her body to the perfumer for her to…experiment? I guess? With possible human scents? I’m not really sure what they expected with that arrangement, but whatever. So after trying out a tissue scent,”

Chevreuse paused to take a bite of the Conch Madeleine Emilie had prepared for them both.

“This is super good by the way. Anyway, the scent turned out to be amazing somehow-“

Emilie giggled in response, both in acknowledge of Chevreuse’s compliment, and in adoration of how cute Chevreuse can be even while explaining such a gruesome plot-line. She was so different from the Captain Chevreuse she knew on the job when she was talking about her interests. Emilie’s own thoughts were a mix of “What the fuck? How did someone come up with this” in regard to the story plot and “She’s so serious about this, how adorable” in regard to the friend in front of her.

“-But once she ran out tissue, she resorted to murdering in order to keep a supply going for her bestseller perfume. It’s a tale of greed I suppose. Obviously murder is illegal, but I’m thinking about what crimes she committed before hand. Desecration of a corpse? I mean the corpse in question consented before hand, so I’m not sure if that counts. She could probably be charged with failing to inform consumers of the ingredients in the perfume…I mean I see why she wouldn’t, it would obviously drive people away, but what if someone had an allergy to human tissue? Is that even possible? And what if-“

“You’re so cute, Chevreuse.”

“What if someone cons-…h-huh?” Chevreuse paused her rant, finally taking notice in Emilie’s change of behavior.

Emilie was staring intently at her, but with a certain look in her eyes. She was gently smiling as always, but in a…different kind of way. She was resting her head on her hand, her cheeks faintly glowed a rosy color.

“I said, You’re so cute, Chevreuse.”

“U-uhh?”

Chevreuse’s eye was wide, her own face quickly growing red. Shes heard many things, but she was NOT used to hearing compliments like this.

“Wh-where did that come from…”

“I find you very cute when you’re talking about things you’re passionate about, and I’m honored to be someone you trust enough to share them with.”

“I…Emilie…” She was caught completely off guard. Something like this would have never even phased her if she was in work mode, but right now, it’s downtime and it’s just her and Emilie…

“Y-you can’t just say that! It’s way too blunt! A-and that’s not even true, it’s like, the last thing I would use to describe me-“

“It’s the first word I would use to describe you, in my opinion.”

Another surge of heat rushed to Chev’s cheeks, and she did put her head sort of down to hide her face. I can’t describe it but this is sort of what I mean

“Emilie, I’m really not…”

“Shall I prove it to you?”

“Wh-what?”

“Shall I prove again why I find you so adorable?”

Chevreuse shrunk further in her seat.

“You’re really killing me here…”

“Very well, then.”

Emilie stood up from her seat and crossed the table to where Chev sat. Chev looked up at her nervously, but whatever was about to happen, she was planning to allow it to happen. She trusted Emilie, both in the professional setting and in the private one, like now.

Emilie cupped her shorter friend’s cheek, inciting a puzzled look in the eyes of the latter, before scribbling over her neck from her hand position.

“Ack! Emilieehehe, not thahahat! You knohohow I’m-“

“Ticklish? Hehe, I know. It’s only one reason on why I think you’re cute, though.”

“Stohop saying thahahat!”

Chevreuse giggled and held on to Emilie’s wrist by pure instinct. She was still in her chair and only squirmed further away from Emilie’s touch.

In response, Emilie used her other hand to squeeze at Chev’s waist, causing her to erupt into another fit of giggles.

“Gahaha! Thihis is embarasiihihinggg” Chev whined. She wouldn’t be caught dead giggling like this while on duty as the Captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol, but if it was just her and Emilie?

“HehehehAHAHA! Not there, not thehere!”

Emilie had migrated her hand up Chev’s torso to start pinching at her ribs, a particularly bad spot for her.

“If only there was a way to turn your sound into a scent…I’m sure it would be a bestseller, my most popular perfume yet.”

“What the hehehehell? You cahahant say that!!” Her face was burning red now. How was she supposed to recover from a line that??

Chevreuse kept laughing and occasionally (and uncharacteristically) squealing, while Emilie now used both hands to attack her friend. “Friend” lmao. Chev’s natural reflexes caused her to keep leaning back and squirming away, though she didn’t mind the tickle assault since it was Emilie. Unfortunately, the chair only had so much surface.

“Ehemilieehehe! Imfallingimfallingimfalling!!”

Before Emilie could react, Chev had already dropped off the chair onto the floor below. She figured this would be a good time to relent.

“You okay, Chev? You’re not hurt, right?”

“Hah…I’m fine, thanks.”

Emilie extended a hand, which Chevreuse took and lifted herself up.

“While I don’t agree with you, I guess I can respect your take. For now. Chev dusted herself off. She tried to sound alright, but her blush was still ever so clear.

Emilie gazed her again, the same loving way she did before. She felt lucky. She was probably the only one able to make Captain Chevreuse a blushing mess, and oh, what a lovely view it is.

“If only I could turn a sight into a scent, too.”

“Emilie!”

I actually cannot believe I’ve been thinking up a plot for the Mualani/Kinich idea for so long but then the minute Chevilie thoughts occur, inspo hits me like a truck. Anyway I kind of like it, I would apologize for mischaracterized as I probably did that a lot, but I’m not going to. What are you gonna do about my probable mischaracterization huh? Compare it to other chevilie content?
