Smile At Mis Uñas

So before I started using this, I was using my Nivea Aqua Effect Mattifying Day Care for Combination to Oily skin. Unfortunately, although it lived up to it’s moisturizing claims, it did not live up to it’s mattifying claims. I saw the NeoStrata one on clearance at Zehrs for 50% off so I decided to buy it since it was reduced from $22 to $11. I wanted to see what the big deal was since it’s usually such an expensive product.

My first impression of it wasn't super great to be honest. A lot of product squirted out of the pump and it felt sticky when I applied it to my face. Due to the stickiness, I had to spread it fast before it ‘set’ since it does dry to a semi-matte finish (more of a satin finish if you ask me) I went through that same process about 3 times before the product FINALLY started to come out smoothly. I use about 1/2 a pump -1 1/2 pumps of product on my face, usually half a pump at a time! I do find the product not as sticky any more and it’s probably because I got used it it’s blue gel-like consistency. I still wouldn’t use this on my brows because I personally think it’s a bit too sticky to pat onto my brows (Though I still haven’t tried....) so instead I’m playing it safe by using my Nivea cream since I do prefer it’s consistency to pat onto my brows.

Ever since I started using this product, I’ve noticed some differences to my skin:

- My skin tone is more even :D

- My face stays shine free longer throughout the day :D

- My skin is not as dry any more. I apply extra to a few dry patches I have and they’re almost immediately hydrated and soft like the rest of my skin

- Soft skin! Yay!!! Also less break outs :D

Overall, I highly recommend buying on SALE!! Not sure if I’m willing to pay full price for it but at the same time it is most definitely worth trying out! The only downfalls I would have for this is the first impressions of it and that sometimes my face feels oily though when I look in the mirror, it’s not oily at. Also now that the warmer weather is returning for good, I feel oily and get some oil off my face though when I look in the mirror, it either doesn’t look oily or is just beginning to look GLOWY. I think for anyone that has extremely oily skin like I do might like this better in the fall/winter because it is extremely hydrating and great for controlling oil but I think in the summer, it’s hydrating aspect might be a bit too much. It’s not quite summer yet so I’ll have to wait and see how well it will hold up but It’s beginning to look that way.
