so this shit is probably the most hilarious heraldry I have ever seen. that man is literally called “man with large goiter*” or Mann mit großen Kropf in the original German. this wonderful coat of arms belonged toDie Kröpfner, of Tyrol, a lord in Germany back in the days of the Holy Roman Empire (not to be confused with the Normal Roman Empire, no togas here folks) Tyrol can be found in the Southern part of Germany. the odd heraldry is a visual pun on the name Kröpfner, Kropf being the german word for goiter.
*goiters are large protrusions in the neck as a result of problems in the thyroid gland. basically it’s a dude with a glandular issue as a coat of arms
