How did your love for Athelnar begin? How long ago was it?

What captivates you most about them and makes you still love them? Maybe they give you something that is missing in life or, on the contrary, are a consolation for something from life?

What do you like besides Athelnar (other fandoms, or hobbies?) Are there any parallels in your interests or are Athelnar unique?

I started watching Vikings during 2020 and I was immediately intrigued by Ragnar and Athelstan’s relationship and I don’t think I’ve ever fallen so hard for a ship before.

There is something about this huge intimidating, Viking that the whole world is terrified of, being absolutely head over heels for this tiny, soft spoken, monk just stirs my heart in a way nothing else ever has.

Writing about them has given me so much joy; I love the idea that I can maybe give them the happy ending they were denied in canon.

I even managed to post my first fic a few years ago that I’m super proud of! And I hope to write more.

I also love the Athelnar community! I’ve been in many fandoms over the years but this one is by far the most welcoming and supportive.

I have made some truly wonderful friends here here, and as someone who suffers from social anxiety, that means the absolute world!

Aside from Athelnar I also enjoy reading, (especially fantasy) listening to music, spending time outdoors, and being with my pets.
