My name is Samantha Manklang, Iβm from the Bay Area. If you donβt know where that is, itβs basically anywhere between 30-40 mins radius of San Francisco, CA.Β
Iβm writing this blog on running.Β
Iβve been running for about two years now. most of my training comes from Nike Run Club (NRC) San Francisco three times a week, varying from speed workouts, 3-5 mile home runs, and 8-13 mile long runs.
Iβm apart of two local running crews, Concrete Runners, and MIP Worldwide (SF Chapter).Β
I used to train everyday last year when I had trained for my first half marathon, the Nike Half Marathon, but I havenβt signed up for any distance runs since. Iβve come a long way since Iβve started running, but I think iβve plateaued since I havenβt signed up for anything. I donβt have any goals to make me run faster. Β
Until recently, Iβll been wrapping my head around running the 2nd half of the SF Marathon towards the end of July. So here I am, starting this blog as I prep for the second half of 2016 getting setting myself up for a PR on my second half! Iβve also got the Kauai Half marathon on my calendar, but I donβt think iβm planning to PR that one due to heat and humidity. Weβll see where my fitness level is by that Runcation.Β
