don't be fooled

   attention grabbed by some vocal interlude, his features twisted         to one of almost confusion & even subtle questioning, written in         his expression. ducking a hand into a pocket, he ceased his         steps in favor of seeing who the hell this was. brevity as a whim         of his own nature, cole impatiently scrawled a hand through his         hair.           ❝oh, hi.❞         not one of his greatest excerpts.            ❝something i can do for you?❞ 

   Dark hues traced over the stranger. They seemed to be inspecting their unsuspecting prey before they finally fell to stare into his eyes. A quick chuckle sounded in the air & with a flick of his wrist, a pair of cards seemed to appear from nowhere and into the palms of his hands.

   Now, he wasn't as skilled at card tricks as his partner was, but he knew some things that might amuse this guy for a bit while he thought of a way to catch some of his valuables.

With a sideways glance, he noticed a male on the cracked sidewalks. A small grin stretched onto his face & he approached with long strides. He didn't have his partner today, but it might be an easy steal anyways.
