‟ you did not find me ” As a kid, Jane ran wild in rural Maine. Black fly bites dotted every inch of exposed skin--drops of blood on icy roads--but she didn't mind. She was content in this world, one free from the civility of keys and locks.

She was anything but caring, but Jane found relief in her emotionless, drug-induced stupor. Tommy was the worst of the family. He was loud, obnoxious, and, most of all, an easy target. The day Tommy disappeared was a mosaic Atlantic sunrise to Jane.
