ok one thing i don't understand about the worldbuilding is why the hell there's this bureaucratic system set in place like why the agents of seasons gotta go through all these hoops and inform the villages and worry about what they say in order to save each other like yall have supernatural powers wtf are they gonna do like i'm sorry but if i was rosei and the person i loved got kidnapped by terrorists and the powers that be were like sorry not sorry we don't really give a fuck so we're not gonna keep looking i'd be like find her or i'm ramming an icicle up all your asses the fuck

do the creators of agents of the four seasons know that romance between two female characters is totally acceptable bc like it's a fun story but the relationship between Hinagiku and Rosei feels so forced and not nearly as developed or romantic as the relationship between Hinagiku and Sakura like if Sakura was a man it would definitely be a romantic relationship she literally blushes because of Hinagiku and is attracted to her but yk comphet

Thinking of TSHD and imo one of the best aspects of the story's storytelling is how the Real Hikaru haunts the narrative. Like not just in the ways he's grieved by Yoshiki but how his ghost haunts "Hikaru." "Hikaru"'s characterization is built up by how increasingly curious he becomes on Real Hikaru's life. There is a certain insecurity he feels around not being the RH and feeling like Yoshiki is clinging to him as a replacement. And all this while he's inhabiting his body and retains his memories. Like the juxtaposition of who is really haunting who is peak fiction.
