regarding woolhaven, poppy immediately distrusts yngya and everything she has to say. dealing with narinder's bs and the mystic seller has jaded them to being a devoted servant to yet another dead god. they feel like the repetitive nature of her flock's dialogue (constantly being called "Shepherd" , other lines regarding lamb history) is a coercion tactic. She wants to appeal to who they appear to be, not who they actually are. I don't think anything they could say against her and her disciples would be heard. It's infantilizing, to be lauded for who they are in the minds of everyone else but not for what they actually are. poppy doesn't talk the way the others do. they don't have much reverence for woolhaven/lambkind. they would find marchosias fascinating. and they'd probably have half a mind to torch the entire mountain considering the rot. not out of wanting to preserve the world or even their cult but out of disgust

they wouldn't try to fuck marchosias either they respect him too much to do that

i think some of you dont like narratives or stories or characters i think you just like fanfiction tropes

protagonists can and will be sexist, racist, insensitive, cruel, stupid, etc, especially towards the beginning of a story. these are called character flaws and they are a surprise tool that will lead to narrative fulfillment later

And sometimes "narrative fulfillment" doesn't mean "the character overcomes their flaws" or even "the antihero is punished for their flaws"! sometimes it means the narrative says "wow was that fucked up or what? anyway i'm rod sterling"
