and i agree entirely with that. like i said, matty’s post was brash and confrontational. his choice of words could’ve been better, without question. but he also shouldn’t be shunned from the sidelines for it either. that’s exactly the point i was trying to make in the first post: nobody directly said that. but the wording in the post was “an important part of every relationship”- every being the key word. that’s where the discomfort on his part stemmed from. while his word choice could’ve been better, i think at most he was trying to validate his own relationships with the people in his life and it’s entirely okay for him to do that. just like it’s entirely okay for you all to validate the relationships in your life with posts about physical contact. i believe both sides probably are understanding of both ideas, but when you make jabs at one another instead of discussing it, that’s when things get uncomfortable and perhaps a bit heated.
