hey here's a funny thing I remember hearing from an artist
They said that everytime they didn't feel like finishing their drawing or scrap one of their works, that they'd imagine ink sans dying and it'd motivate them to finish it if I remember correctly 🤔
Out of curiosity do you have any thoughts like that? What do you imagine everytime you want to stop working on something, what image pops into your mind to motivate you to continue?

Here's a relatable story
Ever get that feeling that you've lost so much motivation and so many ideas for a story? I know some of you struggle with trying to work on them
I do too, there have been many times where I just wanted to scrap Soulace's story, rewrite it, abandon it and just let him wander the UTMV for fun. It's stressing to come up with ideas you can't see, things you can think of, things you want to put there but it'll only add plot holes or confusion
Infact you can notice this kind of thing in my older posts- stuff changes a lot or gets scrapped. My only motivation being that there's characters that don't belong to me that I've accepted to have a part in the main storyline. I feel like it'd be wrong to my friends to have accepted their OC only to scrap the story entirely so I choose to work on it instead
(also because my 10 yro self dreamed of having a sans au within the UTMV that would be liked and enjoyed by others and now I gotta keep that promise to myself LOL)
This thought has happened so many times with Soulace that at some points I just wanna not work on the story and rather focus on him having that library pocket universe instead
If you are suffering with this kind of issue.. don't force yourself to work on that project, take a break to breathe, come back to it when you get the motivation and ideas! Even if it is just to rewrite the entirety of it again!! Maybe focus on a less stressing project instead!
I take breaks from Soulace when I can't think of anything and then choose to focus on my other characters like stellanyx and nyiah (my other UTMV OCS)
You will get those ideas, you will get that motivation and inspiration, you can write that story. There's going to be people out there that like what you make regardless of how you yourself view it, there's gonna be those that stick around no matter how many times you decide to change the story or the characters. You can do that because I believe in you, you can do that too because I've experienced it before and will continue to do so and I want you to be able to experience something like that as well

Hey, Hi, Hello, @sleepywispp ‘s brother here! I felt like this was a topic to post on main, and I may get hate for this but idrc, its a problem.
I met Wispy back in 2018-2019, fresh to the UnderTale MV fandom and the game itself. This is something ive seen countless times. Obviously, theres a comedic side to this, some of the joke fangirl videos people have made (been there done that xD), but in general this is a problem. Little 12-13 year old Yuri didnt fully understand any of this bullshit at the time, and I thought it was all just a joke to be funny. Until I grew up and found out the world isnt all rainbows and sunshine.
Sans fangirls have always existed and thus, always will. Its unfortunately a natural part of this fandom. But the hate on oc x cannon is also part of that problem. Technically, yes it all boils back to fangirls in a way, but as a story writer who *just* got back into the UnderTale MV, as someone whose making one of these universes, I hate to see this. The damage this fandom has done has truly been irreversible. Even as a creator, I still struggle with allowing myself to make silly ship arts unless its oc x oc BECAUSE of the damage this fandom has done.
At the end of the day, oc x cannon isnt bad imo. Unless the creator says otherwise. Thats what it really comes down to. Its like with one of my characters. If I told people not to make ship art of a character because theyre married to another character already, and said character was gonna be shipped NOT with the spouse, id likely be very upset. I know that varies by character, fandom, creator, ect ect. But its something that has seriously impacted a lot of creators in this space and is complete and utter bullshit.
Ship who you want with whoever the fuck you want as long as the creator SAYS IT IS OK TO DO SO. Thats the way I see it. And if youre scared to post it, then you shouldn’t have to feel obligated to do that.
Anyways, holy yap fest, I gotta go eat dinner.

I only heard about this because my brother came online (we have a huge time zone diff so like ik sums wrong when they online ts late) and they mentioned having an anxiety attack seeing their old, archived, art in a post. Literally had me go read it to make sure it wasnt dogging on them. And im very happy with the creator above ( @unnamedgenerator ) handled this topic. Both maturely and respectfully.

I actually really liked your stories with clover! They were very inspiring and fun to read and I recall you at least once making a post similar about this because clover was being associated with the sans fangirl title despite her just being an OC of yours iirc
