watch as I go on a random ass rant about my cringe OC for the 9999mth time because i want to tell y'all more about him but at the same time I genuinely cannot figure out how to write his story.. like his motives and stuff for this adventure (sounds silly i know)

We all know he acts as a bard both inside and outside his AU, telling tales of heroic deeds and the beauty of the stars to help fill others with hopes, dreams and inspiration for years to come. He was fostered by the tavern owners in the village he was raised in, Muffet having taught him how to bake sweet treats for customers, Grillby possibly teaching him how to mix certain drinks. (funfact: they didn't allow him to drunk until he was old enough, and even then they don't like how heavily drunk he gets at time with the celestial ichor...atleast he pays and still works for them.....) it's also known that he's not a regular monster, in fact; Soulace's real name is Lyra and he's the personification of the constellation baring the same name. He's the guardian of stories, child of the night, considered both a god and a prince by those in EmbersCrest. however; he doesn't like to let this fact be known, only failing to let it slip when the situation calls for it or if he accidentally hints at it to someone.

in his younger days, I'd say he more reminds me of Venti's bard persona with his goofiness and all. Luna used to be more happier less shy, He would tease Mariposa a lot because of the way she used to react.. it was cute and he found it funny when she used to try and beat him up with a random nearby object. <- 100% playfully flirted with her or would do silly shenanigans for the fun of it all. However after a certain event that occurred in his life; he hasn't been the same since, when it first happened he took it the worst out of the trio. He did things that I would consider either morally grey or downright bad, even if he did have his reasons they weren't good ones. but he was in pain, he wasn't thinking, and it costed him everything. (insert me trying my best not to reveal lore too much/silly) Soulace is a more quiet and shy poet, admiring the beauty in things and being able to relate anything to astronomy. He can be seen as clingy when it comes to relations with others, not wishing for them to leave incase he never gets to gaze upon their silhouette ever again, incase the only thing left of them is his memories. definitely brings bags of baked treats that he either made himself or yoinked from the Tavern Still a charmer that does silly shenanigans, he just grew up a bit is all. Soulace can get very sleepy at times though, so you may occasionally find him taking a nap in an AU ;3 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. that's all i'm writing for now because I don't know what else to add uhhhh- if you're interested in knowing anything about this character feel free to let me know, i'll happily ramble about this guy at any given moment XD and a reminder; Soulace's story is not finished so there may be changes and tweaks in the future!

So in this post we're just discussing possible name ideas I had for this stupid story MysteryFile: was the original name chosen for the AU when i was 12 and mashing words together, it was more like undertale back then and it's genocide route was referred to as BetrayalFile The stars are like scripts of code, and Soulace does have mysterious origins within their AU so it would make sense, but at the same time I'm not too sure about it HerStory: at the time of this name idea, Soulace was a girl hence the play on words for history becoming herstory implying it was Soulace's story. again this was a complete joke of a name and did stay for some time but I don't know.. ReWrite: also a crack name, this does have lore implications and that's why i'm refusing to elaborate more on this name alt name could be ReWritten or Story ReTold

this Au has been unnamed for some time because sometimes i choose a name then i feel like it doesn't fit the storyline that well and get rid of it xD but uhh yeah that last one does kind of interest me, might play around with it and see if i like that as the name of the AU does the world have a name yet? no i haven't thought of one, but it'd be fun to mention so i'm not constantly confusing myself and others in verbal discussions about the story's world LMAOOO

you know what, i've tried to figure that out for the longest time.. i don't actually know, I guess you could say i'm under the questioning flag?

I have lots but my main favourite artist is @avianic-draws!

I am envious of her skills with anatomy, coloring, shading and rendering

The way she can design something so simple but so unique and cool at the same time with a storytelling element as well

The patience she has when it comes to drawing mangas and comics, the little details and such

I also really like that she's such a nice and lovely person with a funny personality!! (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

While I admire her art style and want to yoink it sometimes.. I also prefer that it's her art style because it means I get to admire it all the more! X3

Ever get that feeling that you've lost so much motivation and so many ideas for a story? I know some of you struggle with trying to work on them

I do too, there have been many times where I just wanted to scrap Soulace's story, rewrite it, abandon it and just let him wander the UTMV for fun. It's stressing to come up with ideas you can't see, things you can think of, things you want to put there but it'll only add plot holes or confusion

Infact you can notice this kind of thing in my older posts- stuff changes a lot or gets scrapped. My only motivation being that there's characters that don't belong to me that I've accepted to have a part in the main storyline. I feel like it'd be wrong to my friends to have accepted their OC only to scrap the story entirely so I choose to work on it instead

(also because my 10 yro self dreamed of having a sans au within the UTMV that would be liked and enjoyed by others and now I gotta keep that promise to myself LOL)

This thought has happened so many times with Soulace that at some points I just wanna not work on the story and rather focus on him having that library pocket universe instead

If you are suffering with this kind of issue.. don't force yourself to work on that project, take a break to breathe, come back to it when you get the motivation and ideas! Even if it is just to rewrite the entirety of it again!! Maybe focus on a less stressing project instead!

I take breaks from Soulace when I can't think of anything and then choose to focus on my other characters like stellanyx and nyiah (my other UTMV OCS)

You will get those ideas, you will get that motivation and inspiration, you can write that story. There's going to be people out there that like what you make regardless of how you yourself view it, there's gonna be those that stick around no matter how many times you decide to change the story or the characters. You can do that because I believe in you, you can do that too because I've experienced it before and will continue to do so and I want you to be able to experience something like that as well
