my progress on ‘the labyrinth of the spirits’ by zafón — i am 220 pages in and am still in love with the beautiful prose and atmospheric setting ☁️✨ talks of having breakfast in a cafe opposite of a bookstore one misty day in enigmatic barcelona… and just the slow burn of the story’s pacing and the suspenseful mystery are all so elegantly woven together 🤍 (swipe to read some of my annotations and highlighted quotes)!
