It seems that a lot of people use my clips to learn Japanese, so I want to expand on Japanese teaching, using VTubers as a theme. Passion and motivation are really important when it comes to picking up a new language, so I really hope my posts are helpful in some way!

Game Translations

It's one of my dreams to get into localization, so I thought some fan translations would be a nice start. A little ambition of mine, especially since I haven't actually started on anything yet;; There are so many undiscovered gems locked behind language-barriers. I must do something about that if I can!!

Recently, I started playing this mobile game. It's a "female-oriented light comedy isekai adventure" Chinese game called 《欢迎来到梦乐园》, which is Welcome to Dreamland. I'm not sure if it's considered niche in China, but there's no English version yet...!!!

It'll probably take me some time to translate the entire main story, but I'm kind of in a feverish state because one of the characters is my exact type and having zero fan content of him is sending me into psychosis. It'd be really nice if more people became interested in the game. ( ᐛ )و

Actually, I already had one of my friends promise to read the story if I translate it, so I decided to might as well post it publicly in an easy-to-access platform if I'm already doing it... Haha

If I ever get interested in any other CN or JP-only games, I'll definitely be translating those as well. Feel free to suggest games to my Marshmallow as well! (◜▿‾ ≡‾▿◝)

Other things

Translating media that's outside of just conversational Japanese would be nice. I've had an eye on Anycolor Magazine articles for a while! I just... haven't locked in yet. Haha. If I ever run into interviews about anime/manga I enjoy, I might work on those as well.

Also, kind of a personal reason, but I live in Taiwan so there aren't many chances for me to write or speak English. I want to write in full, proper English sentences here, so I don't lose my ability to form sentences. In the end, writing is just really fun for me ♪

2025/8/2 not a stupid question at all!! apologies for the slow reply🙇! i think i'm able to manage with editing because school isn't too much of a burden to me, and clipping is just really fun so i consider it a hobby at the same time. and i'm not sure if this will help you, but as someone who works in bursts of energy(which is why i sometimes upload multiple clips in weeks yet can also go for months without activity😎), the moment i get the motivation, i start working before i lose it haha imo, you should just start subbing if youre interested!! theres no harm in trying, and if it really doesnt work out, thats totally fine too! it might not take as much time as you imagine it to🫣 (i hope this answers your question.. im not the best at giving advice hee;;) a late add on.. making clips kind of aligns with my uni work because i major in japanese/english, which is another reason why i’m willing to spend so much time on it!! 🕺

2025/9/22 hello!! i learned hiragana and katakana in one of those cram schools that teach japanese, then spent a lot of time deciphering doujin and fanart written in japanese lol. a tip i have is to search up every new kanji you see, and youll eventually memorize the common ones!! i learned to write and speak it only after entering college, but i think it improved most when i was forced to become friends with some other japanese students😙 and yes, i’m taiwanese-american! born in america with taiwanese parents, lived in taipei since 6 y/o🙂‍↕️

2026/1/20 😼… my dream is to become a college professor! i'm currently studying japanese with an english double major, and i really want to get a master's degree in linguistics. it'd be nice if i could do translations as a side job too! i'm also really interested in game localization… and translating novels… but academia is pretty fun for me, so this is my main plan for now haha if not college, i'd lean towards second language education for adults…! not a big fan of primary/middle/high school settings🙅

2026/1/23 hello :D! i would recommend learning about イ形容詞 and ナ形容詞, and different verb forms. as a casual learner, you dont need to memorize all the rules, but reading it once might make you more sensitive to noticing them in streams and clips🎶! it'd probably more helpful to look through multiple websites, but here are a few to start: adjective conjugation: here verb conjugation: here

2026/1/24 hi!! i think it depends on what type of jp classes they are! beginner ones probably start from introducing hiragana, so i think having just the basics down(like you do) is perfectly fine😙 even if it's the type of class that plans according to majority students' skills, i think the most they'll skip is hiragana/katakana… the grammar following that doesn't get too complicated, but(imo!) still needs teaching. it mostly depends on your teacher though😅! if it helps: in our course, there are people who joined with zero jp knowledge(not even kana), but still followed the lessons without too much difficulty.. we spent only one lesson reading over all the kana then memorized them at home, but they were totally OK👌 the hardest part for me were the verb conjugations, bc it's really just memorization and not that fun lol so if you're really worried, you can check that out first! otherwise, i think you'll be totally fine🔥plenty of exposure + passion already puts you ahead!! good luck💪!

2026/1/25 i love the heroes!! hm.. i don't use any learning apps, but something i reccomend is opening a dictionary app A LOT😎youre bound to remember the most commonly used words if you search them every time you see them haha i use shirabe jisho, which has both an app and website! you can also try reading livers' tweets on your own and looking up words instead of pressing the translate button! (+ another website i use often is 時雨の町, but it's a jp/cn dictionary!)

2026/1/27 hi🕺!! thank you so much!! i'm glad i'm inspiring you somehow🥺!!! i used to have the habit of rewatching the completed parts of my clips before i even finished the entire thing, and realized that took up a lot of unnecessary time… haha recently, i've been timing the subtitles while watching requested videos in a separate window, so i can combine the time spent on them🫨but that only works with vids that have jp subs on them, and wouldnt work if youre clipping raw streams(2/4) i think my whole process got shorter ever since i decided on a clear branding(?) i copy paste video descriptions, use subtitle style presets, choose the same fonts for thumbnails etc. also, my workflow… if it helps🫣! 1 cut out unnecessary parts 2 typesetting/timing subtitles 3 enter subtitle text 4 add sound/video/text effects 5 rewatch to check everything, note timestamps 6 make thumbnail, post to yt

2026/1/27 hi!!! I'm so sorry I can't help you because Mandarin is my native language and Kanji is hardwired into my brain. (you can try learning each component of a kanji separately, or reading about its origin to "understand" it instead of memorizing.. but idk if it really helps☹️)

🌻Learning Japanese

🌻Making Clips

Q: Do you plan on clipping more of XXX? A: Whatever it is you have in mind, I'd probably love to clip more of it, but there's already a lot on my plate with KuroNan. So it would really help out if you send me specific requests of your favorite episodes! You can check my received requests here.

Q: Is it okay to clip things that you, or others, have already clipped? A: I think it’s fine because everyone has their own type of editing style. It’s totally different videos even if you post the same clip! That being said, I'm not an expert on clipping etiquette either, so I suggest directly asking the clippers if you're concerned.

Q: What softwares do you use for editing? A: DaVinci Resolve for videos, CapCut for shorts, and Picsart/Canva for thumbnails.

Q: How do you balance clipping with IRL things? A: I think I'm only managing because school isn't too much of a burden to me;; Translating videos also aligns with my language studies, so I'm willing to spend a lot of time on it. I also find the whole process of editing really enjoyable!

Q: Any tips on being efficient with clipping? A: I think my whole editing process got shorter ever since I decided on a clear "branding"...? Which means copy-pasting video descriptions, using subtitle style presets, choosing the same fonts for thumbnails, etc. If it helps, here's my workflow: 1. Cut out unnecessary the parts of the video-- Looking at the audio waveforms helps a lot! 2. Typesetting/timing subtitles-- If it's an official video that already have JP subs, I do this muted and watch other videos at the same time! 3. Enter the subtitle text-- If you get stuck on a sentence, move on and come back to it later. Sometimes it just takes a second try! 4. Add sound/video/text effects-- Name your sound effects properly..! 5. Rewatch to check everything-- Stare REALLY hard at the words. It's even better if you can get someone to proof-watch! (I don't...!) 6. Make the thumbnail and post to YouTube! I like to use the time it's uploading to work on the timestamps.

Please take my explanations with a grain of salt. I'm still learning as well, and I simply hope my ramblings will be an interesting way to make vocabulary stick more easily. Actual dictionary websites will always give more accurate descriptions, so it's recommended to check them if you're not a casual learner.

0:10 ～ヅラ: acting as if a... 葛葉　「あーやばい、先輩ヅラし始めた」 > Uh oh, now he's acting like a senpai. The kanji for this is 面, but never really used in this context.

0:30 ～づらい: hard to... 葛葉　「俺もなんか…声かけづらいわ」 > It's also... kinda hard for me to reach out. 37:30 葛葉　「音聞こえづらかったんで、ちょっとイヤホンを変えました」 > It was hard to hear with, so I changed my earphones. Usage similar ～やすい from the previous post, but with opposite meaning!

1:45 仕方がない: it cannot be helped 葛葉　「しゃーないでしょ」 ＝しょうがないでしょ＝仕方がないでしょ I wanted to point out that you can speak so fast that しかたがない becomes shortened to しゃーない...

2:25 ノータッチ: not being concerned by/involved in 叶　「××の部分分かる？分かるのね？」 > Do you know what the XX part is? You do, right? 葛葉　「と、すぷれあの四人です。」 > ...And, the four from Splare. 叶　「ノータッチやめろって」 > Stop acting like it has nothing to do with you. In other words, stop "avoiding" the question, stop "refusing to touch upon" the topic, stop "not touching" it... so "no touch." It's interesting how the "no" here has more of the meaning "to not want to," instead of "to not be allowed," which is what it would be in English.

3:07 春雨、コンソメ: Glass noodles, Consommé Foods that are common in Japan, but I personally have never heard of! I do know glass noodles, just not that they're called "spring rain" (which is very pretty). Consommé is French, and I'm still not exactly sure what it tastes like... It's called "French broth" in Mandarin;;

4:20 宗教: religion 一橋　「世界征服をするなら手始めに何から始める？」 > If you were to take over the world, where would you start? 叶　「宗教。」 > Religion. 葛葉　「宗教だね。」 > Religion, right?

4:40 ガッツリ: a lot, a great deal, properly, fully 一橋　「ゲームの世界に入るとしたら、どの世界がいい？」 > If you could enter a game's world, which would you choose? 叶　「戦いたい、ガッツリ」 > I want to fight. A lot. I'm not really satisfied with this translation. Somehow, ガッツリsounds like a lot more than just "a lot"... I remember this word by thinking the pronuncation sounds like "guts," and it's "doing so much that your guts are going to spill out." It works!

4:45 競う: to compete, to contest 叶　「だから、牧場物語。」 > [following the above] So, Harvest Moon. 葛葉　「どこ？牧場物語の…どこで戦ってんの？誰と競ってるの」 > Where in Harvest Moon...? Where are you fighting? Who are you fighting with? There are actually two words used for fighting here. 戦うgives more of an impression of physically fighting, to wage war, like Eren saying 戦え！Meanwhile, 競うis just competing things in general, such as grades and elections.

5:15 人身事故: accident resulting in personal injury or death (esp. traffic, rail, etc.) 葛葉　「マリカとかヤバいぞ」 > [Entering the world of] Mario Kart would be insane. 叶　「普通に人身事故だもんね」 > It'd just be traffic accidents all over the place. I was really bothered that this word for "accident" specifies people getting hurt, but the words "traffic accident" in English would be anything from minor bumps to cars exploding...? I feel that the punchline is slightly weakened if I take out the dying part. "Imagine Mario Kart IRL. The accidents would go crazy" compared to "Imagine Mario Kart IRL. People would drop dead like flies"... My interpretation might not be accurate, though...!!!

5:45 チョレギ、青じそ: Choregi dressing, perilla leaf dressing I am not well-versed in the vocabulary of salad dressings.

6:45 老後後: old-old-age 一橋　「最強の老後の暮らしはどんな感じ？」 > What's the best way to spend elderly life? 葛葉　「人間なら冷凍とかじゃない？」 > For humans, you freeze them, right? 叶　「老後っていうか…老後後すぎない？」 > That's not elderly life... Isn't that too elderly? 老後, word by word, is "old-after", and Kanae is asking, "Rather than old-after, isn't that more like, old-after-after?" The original is a bit funnier. Kuzuha's sentence is literally, "If it's humans, it's freezing, right?" Without any omissions, which happens a lot in Japanese, the full sentence is: "Different from vampires which are already immortal, humans are preserved through freezing or something, right?" My subtitle almost makes it sound like he's going to freeze some random humans he has on hand, but obviously, based on context, that isn't what's going on. Unless?

8:05 万能: all-purpose, almighty 葛葉　「万能だよね、時間止めるのは」 > It is pretty useful to stop time. 叶　「全てにおいて、何でもできるでしょ」 > It can do anything in any way, right? 万能, word by word, is ten-thousand-abilities, AKA invincible. ...Invincible is the word I should've used!!! I wanted something a little more colloquial than almighty. It's already been two months since I posted the clip, though...

9:40 下げる: to lower 五木　「ライバー一年目の自分へ、今の自分から一言送るならば？」 > A message you'd tell yourself during your first year of being a liver? 叶　「そのままで良いよ。」 > You're fine the way you are. 葛葉　「感度下げろ。」 > Lower your mouse sensitivity. Something confusing about verbs is that there are 他動詞(transitive) and 自動詞(intransitive) verbs. For example, 消す and 消える both mean "turning off a light", but the former is for "doing the action of turning off a light", while the latter is "light turning off on its own". If someone turned off the lights in your room, you'd say that they 消す the light; if there was a sudden blackout and the lights flickered off, you'd say the lights 消える(incorrect conjugation for comprehensibility). The sentence structures when using these verbs are a little different, too. 下げる is a transitive verb, and the intransitive version is 下がる. Kuzuha 下げる the sensitivity; the sensitivity is 下がる.

11:40 屈指: leading, foremost 叶　「僕ら過激だけど大丈夫？」 > We're pretty intense though, is that okay? 葛葉　「にじさんじ過激派？」 > Nijisanji intense side? 葛葉　「どこが？屈指の根暗じゃない？」 > How? Aren't we the leading gloomy ones? 葛葉　「過激派はろふまおとかだから。」 > The intense ones are ROFMAO or something. Another example sentence for this word can be found around 14:23 of this clip. Here's the transcription: 葛葉　「格好良くない？ハウル」 > Howl's really cool, isn't he? 叶　「屈指の格好良さじゃん。」 > He's like, the leading coolness[of Ghibli characters]. Personally, I like Haku more.

12:49 怯える: to be frightened of 蝸堂　「何分遅刻まで堂々とできますか。」 > How many minutes are you able to be late without shame? 叶　「遅刻したって怯える必要はない。」 > There's no need to be afraid of running late. 叶　「なぜなら遅刻したということは変わらないのだから。」 > After all, it won't change the fact that you ran late. 叶　「堂々と謝ろう。」 > Apologize boldly. Although it's not the word I highlighted for this card, 変わるis an intransitive verb, and 変えるis the transitive one. The fact you ran late won't 変わる, even if you can try to 変える that.

13:13 表記ゆれ: variation in spelling, inconsistency in spelling 叶　「五分遅れって書いてるもん」 > It says, "five minutes late." 葛葉　「これ表記ゆれだよ」 > That's just mispelling [so it doesn't count as being late]. I feel like I understand this concept in theory, but not actually. The joke Kuzuha's making here is that the 遅 from 遅刻 and 遅れ is read differently, but that still doesn't help me understand the punchline... Nothing to teach here, just listing another thing that I might've not translated well. Hopefully I'll understand this joke when I look back at this in a year or so!

13:55 ～ちゃう: to do something accidentally 叶　「忘れちゃうんだよね、一回既読したものって、その後」 > It's easy to forget them once you've read them once. ちゃうis a less formal way of sayingてしまう! It's used really often. You won't stop noticing it if you look out for it. 忘れちゃった、遅刻しちゃう、全部食べちゃった、死んじゃった！all use this.

15:00 意欲: motivated, ambitious 蝸堂　「お互いに尊敬しているところを教えてください！」 > Please tell me something you respect about each other! 叶　「全て。」 > Everything. 葛葉　「まあ、意欲的だなとは…」 > Well, I do think that he's pretty ambitious... 欲 means "the desire to". 食欲, food desire, means appetite. 性欲, sex desire, means... sexual desire. Yeah.

16:09 解像度: how well one understands a person or thing 夜牛　「いつか『きゃりあうーまん』になりたいと思っている。」 > She wants to become a "career woman" one day. 葛葉　「ひらがなだよ。解像度が低いんでしょ」 > In hiragana. She's not very locked in. / Doesn't sound like she knows what she's doing. / That's hard to imagine. (etc.) This one is really hard to explain, so I'll keep looking for similar examples...!

16:15 バリキャリ: a superwoman 叶　「キャリアウーマンって何なの？仕事する人？」 > What's a career woman? Someone who works? 葛葉　「バリキャリ。」 > A superwoman. Apparently, バリキャリ stands for バリバリ働くキャリアウーマン, so "a career woman who works a TON"? Dictionaries say that superwoman can mean an exceptional woman, so I went with that, but I don't know if English speakers even say that nowadays. It reminds me of that picture book that says all mothers are superwoman. Which is true.

18:20 白滝、こんにゃく: Shirataki, Konnyaku Shirataki is a type of translucent, gelatinous Japanese noodles... that basically sounds like harusame!? It seems that harusame is dry, and shirataki is wet. And shirataki is made FROM konnyaku... Since they're talking about oden ingredients, shirataki are the noodle-tied-into-bowties, and konnyaku are slabs of jelly. Excuse the vague description I thought of from searching up images on Google.

18:50 似て非なる: similar but different 葛葉　「ドーラは？サラマンダー？ドレイクか」 > How about Dola? Is she a salamander? No, she's a drake, huh. 葛葉　「ちょっと似て非なるものか」 > A little similar but different. I searched up drake and only got images of the rapper. He's canadian!? Asexual drake...

19:45 大喜利: improvisation one-liners 十河　「こんな吸血鬼は嫌だ。どんな吸血鬼？」 > I hate these types of vampires. Which types? 叶　「やめろって大喜利、質問で出してくるの」 > Stop sending prompts in these questions. The definition "quiz-like (TV) comedy segment in which participants improvise one-liners based on a given theme" is much more clearer than "prompt," but it was the best word I could think of! Japanese variety shows really like that kind of stuff, huh.

21:50 一反木綿: Ittan-momen(one bolt of cotton) Floating white cloths. That choke people. Japanese folklore! There are a few yokai I've heard of, but this isn't one of them.

22:50 派: group 猫屋敷　「犬派ですか？猫派ですか？」 > Are you a dog person? Or a cat person? There's no English word, but you hear this a lot in both Japanese in Mandarin(pai, 4th tone). For any kind of "pick a side between these two" situation, you'd use it: kinoko/takenoko, cereal before/after milk, etc.

0:12 ラストダイブ: Last Dive 葛葉 「ちょっと待って、ラストダイブ行ける、俺」 > Hold on, I can go for a Last Dive. I thought this was some type of common phrase like "last spurt" or "last resort", but turns out it's just a reference to something from Made in Abyss. Lol

0:18 あんま: not really 叶 「ジンジャーエールとか飲める人？」 > Does anyone here drink ginger ale? 葛葉 「ジンジャーあんまだね」 > I don't really drink ginger. 16:08 葛葉 「俺、小豆あんまだったわ…」 > I'm not really into red beans... Saying あんま is really common in daily conversation! Sometimes it can mean "I don't feel like it" or "meh", etc. In general, I think it's more often used than あんまり.

0:37 ずっしり: heavily, profoundly イブラヒム 「ズッシリ来た？」 > Is that the thick one? 不破 「ズシってるね、これ」 > That's very heavy. I'm pretty sure this isn't usually used to describe food? The other examples I see include wet clothes that become heavy, bags filled with books, thick dictionaries, the plump bodies of reptiles, etc. Isn't it super hard to translate "来る"? Ibrahim says literally "heavy came" here which makes zero sense in English. I think Fuwa has the habit of saying things are "ている"(basically "-ing" in English) even when it's grammatically strange. Imagine it as adding "-ing" to adjectives. "Wow, the sky is so orange today." "It's oranging?" ← ?? 「ズシってるね」 = It's thicking, huh. ← ?? By the way, ~てる and ~ている are the same things, the former being casual writing. I got curious and searched if Zushiri's name has anything to do with this word, but the Wiki doesn't say anything, so probably not.

0:47 伊勢海老(いせいえび): Japanese Spiny Lobster 葛葉 「伊勢海老入ってる？」 > Is there a lobster in this? Kuzuha is exclaiming that the shrimp burger is ridiculously large, and omitting the full name of the lobster still got that across, so I took it out in the subtitles. This line makes even more sense if you know that "shrimp" in Japanese is "えび", and the spiny lobster is also an えび... even though it's a lobster. Apparently, "lobsters" are just called "ロブスター"? Is this why I somehow associate Yusuke(P5) with both lobsters and shrimps...?? I haven't finished the game yet. I wonder if there are animal names in English that are also so commonly used that they're referenced like this, too. Grizzly bears? Clownfish?

1:01 どっち: which 叶 「チリ、か…」 > It's chili, or... 葛葉 「どっちも辛い？」 > Are they both spicy? I wanted to point out that "どっち" is used when there are 2 options, and "どれ" is used when there are over 3 options. When ordering at a restaurant, I once asked a Japanese friend, "どっちにする？" and they got confused because I didn't give them 2 specific options.

1:03 いうて: even so 葛葉 「チリドッグって何？」 > What's a chili dog? イブラヒム 「ちょい辛だね」 > A little spice. 不破 「いうて辛くないでしょ」 > It shouldn't be spicy though, right? More official dictionaries say that this is dialect for 言って, but other ones say it's slang(ish?) for "even so/nevertheless". I kind of had to guess for this subtitle...

1:11 ノリ: mood, spirit, energy, enthusiasm, rhythm, feeling イブラヒム 「こういうノリの」 > This type of vibe. 葛葉 「あー…まあ、」 > Oh... well. 不破 「そういうノリね」 > Oh, that type of vibe. イブラヒム 「名称すんなよ（笑）」 > Don't noun-ify it. What does that mean!? I'm pretty sure that Fuwa is mimicking Ibrahim here, and Ibu tells him to "knock it off, don't make that a thing lol"...? I ended up not subtitling it because it seemed trivial enough. Note: ～んな is a casual way say certain negative forms. 見るな→見んな(link of Zuha saying it: 9:59) するな→すんな ノリ is a hard word. It's usually used as "mood" or "flow" but I feel like I've been using "vibe" a lot more recently.

1:24 えぐい: insane, crazy I'll never understand this word. Also, they say it with a certain tone in the video. Are they referencing something?

Someone in my quotes pointed out that Kuzuha might be slightly misuing it here, and I see what they mean. It seems to express a feeling of "it's too late" rather than "why now"... which seems like practically the same thing once I type it out. Hm... The general meaning is still correct, so you can memorize it that way for the JLPT test, haha.

2:20 軽々(かるがる): lightly, easily, carelessly イブラヒム 「もう三個行ったよ、俺は。軽々」 > I've already had three, easily. 葛葉 「…軽々？」 > ...Easily? I wrote nonchalantly in the subtitles which is way funnier. But probably not exactly what the word means. Though if they spoke English, don't you think they'd say something like that? John Chalant In the first place, I'm not even sure if Ibrahim said かるがる. It sounds more like まるがる to me. I'm not sure if Kuzuha is doubting him, or if he genuinely didn't hear him well.

2:43 所持(しょじ): possess; to have 葛葉 「俺はチリドッグを枯れてる、五分も」 > My chili dog has been drying out for 5 minutes. 不破 「所持してる？」 > You have it equipped? イブラヒム 「あー着てるか」 > Oh, you're wearing it. 葛葉 「所持品だね」 > It's an item. Seriously, what does Kuzuha say here...!? I listened to him say the first line a lot of times. To me, it sounds like "俺はチリドッグを枯れてる、五分も" as I wrote above. But the subtitles said "俺はチリドッグを五分持ってる", maybe because they're not 100% sure what he said, either. I went with the latter for the graphic because Twitter is more strict with me(posts end up on timelines of people who don't know me) and I shouldn't write anything I'm not positive about if I don't have space to clarify. Twitter's text limit isn't enough, writing too many words somehow makes me lose interactions, and leaving a message in the replies means not everyone will see it! Anyways, Tumblr has none of those issues. Grammatically, "チリドッグを枯れてる" would be wrong. The correct form would be "チリドッグが枯れてる" or "チリドッグを枯れさせてる"... I think. Not that it matters too much when you're speaking.

3:03 ノルマ: quote, assignment 叶 「二千五百円か、ノルマ」 > I guess the target is 2,500 yen. 3:35 叶 「僕いけるわ、ノルマ」 > I can reach the goal! My teacher asked me for the meaning of this word in class and I got it wrong because I assumed it just meant "norm" so now I'll never forget it.

Onomatopoeia is so cute. These would be closer to "It's gotten lighter with a su" and "I can eat it with just a su". Swoop, and the food goes down. Memorizing 重荷 might be easier if you remember it's just short for 重い荷物(おもいにもつ).

4:53 叶 「（ようかん）二個いける、あと」 > I can have 1 more. Wanted to add this to the list because you might be thinking, "Why did it say 1 more when he said 2?" I THINK(Not definitive, might need a native speaker's opinion) that the あと here is "later" and not "more," so he's saying "I can get to 2 youkan in total later" instead of "I'm going to have 2 more." If the あと was in front, I'd think otherwise... Or maybe my gut feeling is wrong. There's a thing we call 語感 in Mandarin(and Japanese?) which means language sense, the gut instinct feeling that usually comes with a lot of reading/listening. Kind of how native speakers know how grammar works without knowing the actual rules. I sometimes rely on that, so I'm not a dependable explainer;;

4:54 ～やすい: easy to ~ イブラヒム「そんな食べやすい？」 > It's that easy to eat? 14:23 不破 「モスは野菜良かったね」 > Mos's vegetables were nice. 葛葉「野菜のやつね」 > The vegetable ones, right? イブラヒム 「めっちゃ食べやすいな、あれ」 > They're really easy to eat. 21:37 イブラヒム「リンゴジュースよりの」 > It's closer to apple juice. 葛葉 「果物よりの野菜ジュースなのかな」 > Vegetable juice leaning to fruit, I guess? イブラヒム 「飲みやすいわ」 > It's easy to drink. No one actually says cost performance in daily English, so it's always replaced with other words when translating.

A common thing in translating Japanese and Mandarin(and maybe other languages!) to English is that there are sometimes words easy to understand only in the source language. 食道 is a word everyone knows because it's just "food-pipe." Same for many other medical terms too, such as orthopedics being 骨科(bone-division/branch) in Mandarin... but what the heck is an esophagus? Also, fun fact: 整形外科 is plastic surgery in Mandarin(zheng-xing-wai-ke), but orthopedics in Japanese(sei-kei-ge-ka). The Japanese for plastic surgery is 形成外科(kei-sei-ge-ka), which sounds ridiculously similar. Memorizing that took years off my lifespan and I still get them mixed up now!! A word with the same reading 食堂(cafeteria).

If Ibrahim had said "リンゴジュースより ~ " then it'd mean "more ~ than apple juice." Was pointed out in this tweet.
